This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Don’t miss it if you are going to Luxor. The photos don’t do it justice. It is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. Superb setting right on the Nile. Amazing architecture. Brilliant food and ambience. And incredibly peaceful. Just what you need after the Hustle and bustle of the town. There is a free boat service to cross the river and the pool is heated. The rooms are absolutely exquisite

This is exactly the type of place we love to stay. The architecture is beautiful and the rooms are named after jewels, so I say the entire experience is a true gem. As is Marina, the owner. She is an absolute delight, greeting us upon check-in and sitting with us to talk high school math with our teen boys. She checked in with us at dinner to ensure the clever Thanksgiving menu was to our liking and we all agreed the food was divine. I'm going to use those spices in my next chili! She was also able to arrange for our travel Covid tests to be done right in the lobby and printed our quick results for our trip home. Meals are served in a lovely covered space with views over the Nile and a quiet farm next door. Breakfast was delicious with coffees any way and custom omelets, in addition to an assortment of cheeses, jams and yogurt. We were there during the special evening event opening of the Avenue of the Sphinxes and enjoyed a surprise fireworks show across the river. Our rooms were large and beautiful. We lucked out with a large balcony where we enjoyed relaxing on the couch and cuddling a sweet cat. The location is lovely and a short drive to the Valley of the Kings. Because of the event, we didn't get to take advantage of the free boat rides to the East Bank, but it looked to be a super easy way to take advantage of the other side while enjoying the peace of the hotel.

I suggested to a very well renowned company in Cairo to book this wonderful place where to overnight after a full day visiting the amazing temples in Luxor. Since main roads were closed due to the preparing of a special event at Luxor Temple I was escorted by private boat through the Nile. I had the single room which was absolutely perfect, clean and naturally warm. Breakfast is filling and I wished I could stay there longer. Hopefully next time! Don’t forget that West Bank was chosen by Kings and Queens to remain eternal, and in this amazing palace which reflects Nubian architectural criterias, you really feel eternity! the sunrise (end of November is around 6 a.m.) from that side is absolutely magic!

My friend and I stayed at the Djorff Palace for nine nights and I'd have happily stayed longer. First, let me see, all the other rave reviews are completely accurate and up to date, soome practicalities then for planning your stay. Our bed was super comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly as did the WiFi and we had good 4G coverage everywhere. There are plenty of electric sockets and good water pressure and hot water. There are no TV's in the rooms and if you're the kind of person that needs a giant screen TV in your hotel room then you're probably not the kind of person that should be staying here. We ate at the restaurant every night for dinner and were particularly appreciative of the fact that the menu changed daily. The staff were all lovely and helpful and Marina will absolutely make your stay - she pulls it all together and keeps it all going. Thank you Marina! Take her advice when she offers it. The Nubia shop she recommended just across the Nile from the hotel was the best place we shopped in the entire two weeks we were in Egypt and the only place we felt like we weren't getting ripped off.. However long you're planning on staying in Luxor my recommendation would be to stay longer, stay at the Djorff and enjoy your time. My favourite thing of all was having breakfast and from the breakfast table being able to watch water buffalo graze next to the Nile.

This is a very peaceful place to spend an evening (Or more if lucky enough to be staying there) The hustle & bustle of the main East Bank Luxor is far away on the other side of the Nile. Previously we had eaten in the main restaurant but decided on the open-sided bar area near the pool this time. I ended up breaking one of my almost sacrosanct rules in choosing the same Turkish Duck meal as Mrs eLaReF since the pomegranate & soy sauce looked intriguing. It was a good choice. Some desserts were had, then we moved out from the roofed area and sat in the warm calm night air for tea & coffee. Then it was, unfortunately, time for the motor-boat back across the Nile to our hotel.
