This place was a dream come true. We woke up to the gentle giants outside our window, peeking in as we opened our shades in the morning and cuddling in for some feed. Accommodations were comfortable and vary quite a bit depending on which room you're in. Meals were incredibly delicious. Breakfast with giraffes poking their heads in the Windows...

One of the most memorable hotels I have ever visited! The place is so beautiful, the staff so accommodating and the kissing GIRAFFES (and the funny warthogs) just made this unique hotel one of the highlights of our Africa trip. Super duper highly recommended!

We stayed for one night at the end of May, at the end of a safari/beach vacation organized through Goway.com. This was a bucket list item for me, and I was not disappointed. We stayed in the Helen Suite in the Garden Manor (not the main house itself). It has two twin beds which they pushed together for us and...

Dear Janice S, Thank you very much for your wonderful and informative review. As you mentioned, best to use our driver for your excursions while you are staying with us, but the off set is that you will not be around to rest! I have visited the Giraffe Manor several times now and if you go to Nairobi and don't get a chance to wake up to a Rothschild Giraffe looking in your window, you have missed one of the greatest moments in Nairobi!

flight was at an awkward time, immigration officers at Nairobi airport searched my bag then asked for a tip, room was over the kitchen, couldn’t sleep from the constant banging and cooking smell, but all that went away when I saw the giraffes coming for their afternoon snack. I never seen a giraffe up so close, let alone feed it,...

Dear aliabdulla77, thank you for your comments. We have been working on the kitchen noise but are restricted in the fact that the hotel was built as a house in 1932 and as a private home! But your comments are taken to heart and we are actively seeing what we can do in future for our guests. So glad that...

My fiancee proposed while having the most romantic candle lit dinner in this truly unique and magical place. The entire staff, starting from the GM, was aware of it and all together made an extra effort to make it unforgettable. The service is simply perfect, the staff extremely kind always with a smile and a gentle word. The food was...

My wife and I spent one night at Giraffe Manor on our honeymoon between doing a safari and spending a week in the Seychelles. We don't say this lightly - it was hands-down the best hotel experience we have ever had. And we've been fortunate - we have stayed at the beautiful Oberoi Resorts throughout India, the Rosewood in London,...

Quite possible the best hotel I have ever been to. The manor, the staff and the setting are all amazing. You get to feed the giraffes both in the morning and in the evening. Even whilst you are having breakfast! The height of luxury in an historic colonial setting. It's located near the David Sheldrake Elephant Orphanage and the Karen...
