Stopover is really reasonably priced and it’s beautiful. Lovely room literally overlooking the channel. I ate dinner here 2ce and it was fabulous - beautiful fish and generous portions. Friendly staff and great location.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our time staying here with seafront room, nice staff and good food, and reasonable price. Then we moved to Stopover in Lamu town, not as big as this one, but also worth for its cost.

Our 2nd floor balcony overlooking the sandy approach to Shela and line of fishing boats and dhows was a bargain itself. Add the mosquito-netted traditional Arabic beds, eager-to-please staff, and delicious fresh fish meals and you have the perfect spot to experience the varied cultures...More

We found it a very decent place to eat with very reasonable prices (can't judge the rooms, didn't stay there). Everything was fresh, well prepared and tasty. With so few tourists in Lamu, they hardly stock anything. So if you want anything slightly more sophisticated...More

no ac, but nice big ceiling fans above each bed and lovely evening breeze through large window.
