We recently visited Mara Eden with friends and our family. We had a wonderful time. I normally ignore reviews with all five stars but really cannot think of a reason to only give 4 stars. The accommodations were perfect. Everything was clean and so many nice little touches. There is no fence so getting up close with the animals is...

Outstanding accommodations, a whole new meaning to sleeping in a tent as these units are raised on wood floors, have very nice showers/bathroom facilities and solar lighting. Game drives started right from the lodge. Very quiet, peaceful. Food was very good. Wifi only avail from lodge, not from tents, and was only on at certain times.

You are probably wondering why I say giorgio couldn't do better, a week ago we stayed with a couple boots and jay at their rather boutique camp , mara eden camp. Great food like seriously great food and with those 2 at the camp you never stop laughing and eating. On our first day on safari I dropped my sunglasses...

When you want to find a great place...look to the locals. As residents of the Mara, we have a host of lodges in which to recommend and take our visiting guests. But, out of all the possibilities, we really only have one choice...Mara Eden Safari Camp. Munir and Jay make it their personal business to make sure that our friends...

Just back from the most wonderful week long safari with Amack Adventure Travel culminating in a 2 night stay at Mara Eden which was our favourite stop by far. Munir and Jeneane are the perfect hosts and seem to have the ability to make everyone feel just that little bit special and important to them. Their camp is perfectly situated...

Just back from my second trip to Mara Eden, this time in the 'high season' with a full camp. I had hoped and expected to say that it was equally good as my last visit and it's hard to believe, but it was even better if that is possible ! Once again the attention to detail was very evident, even...

I didn't know what to expect when headed to a safari "camp" in Kenya in the maasai mara national reserve. What greeted my fiance and I were lavish and extremely comfortable accommodations. The "tent" we stayed in had a wonderful little deck we could sit out on and a very spacious and luxurious room. I was ecstatic to find our...

We arrived at the camp to be warmly greeted by Munir and his wife Jay, the managers of the resort. Their passion for the camp & their guest's experience is truly shown in their attention to detail & 'nothing's too much trouble' attitude. My wife arrived feeling slightly under the weather, a typical English summer cold, & Jay went out...

Having never been on safari before, I came to TripAdvisor for help. So with much anticipation and trepidation, I embarked on this journey to Africa as a solo female traveler. Whilst on the plane to Nairobi, I wondered what lied ahead, considering I based my decisions about this trip mostly on the reviews here. The magic started when I got...

“Take a good torch and spare batteries. A wind up torch would also be a good idea for emergencies.”

“a couple of overall tips if you are looking at taking a safari in Africa is take more than 1 power transformer One of the biggest concerns we had was getting power to recharge our camera batteries. take a GOOD set of binoculares we had 1 really good set and 1 good set, wish we had take 2 really good sets, it is amazing how much more detail is seen on the various game animals, even though we were close, with the use of a really good set of binoculars. a decent range finder , used by bow hunters, would have been really useful to determine just how close or far we were from various game sitings, as people dont really believe how close you get take lots of goodies for the people We took colouring books and crayons for the children, flashlights, hats, and eye glasses for the adults. Left a bunch of the books at an orphanage, gave the rest out to the staff at various camps we stayed at for their families. This was appreciated actually more than cash.”
