The place inside their camp is just perfect .Me and my friend were the only people in the resort and we were worried initially . Later we had a discussion with the manager, Joseph and he briefed us about the place and security . After the discussion we were very comfortable . The place is good and close to the... More

My friend and I lived here for two night. The staffs are friendly and the place is clean. We can take a hot shower in the tent. Also, it is near the Masai Mara national reserve and Masia, very convenience. If you want to live a cheap but convenience, here is a good choice.

We liked staying at Mara Sidai very much!! Management and stuff are incredibly friendly and super nice! Very personal touch with getting to know many people, also local massai friends. The food was especially nice and we couldn't ask for more. Definitely don't miss out the lunch bag, was one of the best during our trip! Location very good, close... More

As I intended to spend as much of my trip outdoors as possible, I hoped to get a decent bed with attached bathroom/toilet. It was pretty much basic. The mosquito net had a few holes in it but I did not get bitten. The staff including the Masai guy who spoke greatly good English were friendly. I cannot say much... More

Basic tent with the necessities you need, clean, double bed (short), toilet and hot shower. Buffet in common room was tasty. Chef was very friendly, staff good. Good price for beer and wine (250 and 400ksh in sept 2016). It should not be compared to a nice hotel, but it is a nice camp!

We stayed here in permanent tent for 3 days and found the accommodation to be decent. The tent had all the basic amenities you might need including hot water. Location is convenient too, very close to the gate and staff is friendly. However, we were on full board and were disappointed with the food on all 3 days. The buffets... More

If you are a budget minded traveler like me, you will find the Mara Sidai Camp to meet your needs while visiting the Masai Mara. The location of the camp is less just outside the Ololaimuitek Gate. The drive to the camp and the Masai Mara is a bone-shaking experience even in a large, comfortable 4x4, but it is well... More

Mara Sidai camp is a wonderful place for the Masai Mara Visit if one has the right expectations. It is a budget place and is quite well equipped to be functional. The camp is located close to the Masai Reserve Park gate and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. This attitude is exemplified by Joseph the camp manager who... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The camp comprises 23 luxurious en-suite tents. Each tent has a private bathroom and water is heated by charcoal boiler . Camp facilities include a restaurant , a bar and a lounge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant but one can also choose to enjoy a romantic bush dinner served beneath the starlit African night. Bush breakfast is the perfect surprise after an exciting morning game drive with astonishing view over the Mara plains. We at Mara Sidai are passionate about cooking and our chefs have put together a tantalizing assortment of their own original recipes that capture the taste of long gone colonial days from French, English, Italian and Danish classical cooking. Our menu also includes food from the international cuisines or best of all, exotic traditional Kenyan meals are also served. ... more   less
