Amazing place with an even more amazing staff. Every single person from the receptionist to the Barman to the Safari driver were so polite and welcoming. It seemed like I knew these people since a long time. It would be the only place I would...More

I had the pleasure to visit Mara Safari Club last week. The accomodations were lovely; which was totally unexpected considering the location of the hotel - out in the middle of the conservancy, very far from anything. The hotel staff made sure to go above...More

My wife and I may visit the FMSC next November. Some questions: 1) Anyone have a sense of what's the latest we could aim to arrive at Nairobi's international airport from abroad and then comfortably make it over to the other airport (Wilson?) to catch the flight that gets us to the hotel? FWIW, we might be on Etihad, arriving at 1:05 pm, and would be be in business class with just carry-ons, but that's not yet nailed down. 2) More generally, I guess it could depend on the time of the day and day of the week, but about how much time to budget for that airport to airport connection? 3) If we wanted to arrange a drive instead, I see from previous questions and answers that it's about four hours with some rough spots, but is it a scenic drive at all or just more of a slog? And what is the latest time we'd want to start from the airport to do it? No problem if we need to stay over in Nairobi for a night, but just thought I'd ask. Thanks for any advice.

The drive from NBO is approximately 3.5-4 hours with 1-1.5 hours of the trip on a gravel/dirt road that has a few rough spots but is otherwise in good condition. Trip cost 150 USD and was fairly uneventful.
