An amazing trip - the camp was excellent with the accommodation very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The Maasai were wonderful hosts at the camp and our guide/spotter were very knowledgeable and created a fantastic experience for us. Visit - you will love it.

This was my second safari with Gamewatchers Safari and once again it was a wonderful experience. Altogether I stayed in four Porini camps in the course of a week, the tents were of an equally high standard with everything needed for a comfortable stay (the hot water bottle was much appreciated on the couple of cold nights!) My favourite camp...

Absolutely brilliant!!! Loved the camp & it's set up. The tent was homely & extremely clean. I was ready for the 'bucket shower' experience again! Fastest showers I've ever had but lovely & hot with fresh towels. The water bottle in the bed is also welcomed especially when the temperatures drop at night. Jimmy who manages is awesome! So easy...

We have been on quite a lot of safaris in Kenya and elsewhere in Africa and think the Porini model is by far the best. The ethos is sound. The camps are staffed and managed by Maasai and the revenue from tourism is ploughed back into the local economy and for maintaining all aspects of conservation in the conservancies. Mara camp...

The experience at Porini Mara was amazing all around. We did a 3 night, 4 day excursion, which included 2 evening drives, a morning drive, an all day drive, and a morning walk experience. We saw a variety of animals every time. Our guides Andrew and Mirama knew exactly where to go to find some really interesting sights and animals,...

The Porini camps do not claim to be a high-end luxury safari experience and that's no bad thing at all - if you want fine dining, go to a restaurant, these camps are about the wildlife experience. Having said that, the food is good, and the tents more than adequate. All the staff I met at Mara camp were great,...

The masai mara tribesmen run both the camp and the safari game drives. 1) the Drives. We did 4 game drives and one hot air balloon ride (with a drive coming back). I really appreciated that we had the same 2 guides for all the drives. Not only did that make it more personal and give us a chance to...

This trip surpassed all expectations. Right from the 20 minute drive from airstrip to camp which offered non stop viewing of antelope, giraffe, warthogs, birds....and so it continued with lion, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, hippos, and more than 50 species of birds. The welcome was warm and professional, the food excellent and the tents luxurious for safari camping, and included turndown...

For it to be a zip down/zip up tent, it was simply beautiful. Comfortable bed and roomy, was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom also is spacious with a western flush toilet. A Masai man would ask what time did you want to shower and would bring hot water (bucket full) for you to take your shower. Remember to turn faucet...
