This trip surpassed all expectations. Right from the 20 minute drive from airstrip to camp which offered non stop viewing of antelope, giraffe, warthogs, birds....and so it continued with lion, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, hippos, and more than 50 species of birds. The welcome was warm and professional, the food excellent and the tents luxurious for safari camping, and included turndown...

For it to be a zip down/zip up tent, it was simply beautiful. Comfortable bed and roomy, was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom also is spacious with a western flush toilet. A Masai man would ask what time did you want to shower and would bring hot water (bucket full) for you to take your shower. Remember to turn faucet...

What away to start 2017. I have been in many Safari trips in Kenya but this was one of the best experience that I have ever experienced, the nature and to be very close to Lions made it even better But the uniqueness of this place is the people who works there, from our two guide William and Phillip who...

We've just paid our second visit to this camp, as well as to Amboseli and the Lion Camp. All were just perfect as far as we're concerned - wonderful sightings of animals, friendly and courteous service, great food and comfortable accommodation. We skipped the national reserve this time - too many people - for more time in the conservancy and...

In October/16 we returned to Kenya for our 14th year in a row, all of those years we have been with Gamewatchers and we have stayed in all their Porini camps. They treat you fabulously from the time you land at the airport until you leave for home. Their camps are beautiful and the people, guides, camp managers, spotters, dining...

Having done a couple of low key safaris in game reserves in South Africa we were looking for something wilder and larger scale in our third trip to Africa . Porini and the Masai Mara gave us this and more. The camp sits in a conservancy outside of the park, which gave us the freedom for night drives as well...

One word - AMAZING! Wayne Hammond handled all of our trip arrangements. - Overall rating of his service: Excellent/Outstanding - I found Wayne to be very professional right from my first e-mail inquiry into booking the Porini Camps to his ability/willingness to change our travel arrangements during our actual trip. - Wayne provided accurate information and his responses to my...

Faultless!! Superb! I shed a tear leaving the camp - first time ever.... Exciting 50 minute flight out of Nairobi - super views on the way - first sight of giraffes and elephants - so exciting!! We were met by our two guides Wilson and Marema, who were with us the entire stay. They were perfectly charming, hugely knowledgeable and...

Porini Mara Camp is wonderful. Quiet, secluded and a true bush experience. We have been lucky enough to visit a number of African countries and done a number of game drives. However, the 4 nights in October that we stayed at this camp have to be among the best ever. Frederik and his team went out of their way to...

We stayed for 3 night in early September and had a wonderful time. The game drives were spectacular, perfectly mixed between the private and secluded Ol Kinyei Conservancy, the neighbouring shared Naboisho Conservancy and the busier public Maasai Mara National Reserve. All camp staff and guides were very attentive and friendly, we did not miss anything. The backup by Gamewatchers...
