We have also stayed at Richard's River Camp, which was more upscale, but we all loved the Forest Camp. The tents were really comfortable (including the beds), eating outside under the sky/stars while watching a bonfire, well, it doesn't get much better than this. Richard was our host, a great story teller and activists. When we wanted showers, we asked...

This is a very small camp, lovely setting and accommodations, and the people could not have been nicer! We (3 couples) were fortunate enough to have stayed 3 nights, and we all agree that it couldn't have been a more amazing experience. The food, the days out, the excellent guides...don't hesitate to book this!!!

We stayed two nights at the Forest Camp and two nights at the River Camp. Although both are fantastic, we loved the forest camp best. It was Richard's childhood home and still has the feeling of visiting with relatives. From the moment Richard picked us up, we were welcomed and made to feel at home. Whether dining on the lawn,...

The photos posted are accurate, but just do not do this property justice. We were made to feel as if we guests in their home rather than a camp. The staff were very gracious hosts & were able to accommodate all special needs. Definitely a must on your trip!

Richards Camp is a little slice of heaven! We had a party of 16 (friends & family) and they surpassed our dreams in every way. The food was fabulous, the staff was amazing, the camps are outstanding and the game viewing is beyond belief. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are heavenly! This was my 11th visit and I...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Forest Camp, and 3 nights at the River Camp. Although the Forest camp is slightly more "rustic," both camps are top-notch, incredibly well managed, have outstanding staff, and you will want for nothing! We enjoyed experiencing both and didn't really have a favorite. In the Forest Camp, our two teenage daughters stayed in...

Dear Denise, Thank you, what a wonderful review, and so useful for other readers to know that you spent an equal amount of time at both of our camps and didn't have a favourite. Did any of you try our ''forest bath'' at forest camp? definitely a high-light for many guests who stay there. Thank you for being very complimentary...

Richard's Camp was an unbelievable spot to set up a 'home base' for our Safari's on the Mara. As a family of 5 we were very comfortable in our 2 tents and were treated like family by our hosts Kaila and Shawn who went above and beyond to make our experience incredible. Our guide - Joseph - was extremely knowledgable...

“All tents are luxurious and even though you are in the wilderness it creates the feeling of warmth and comfort, even to the welcome addition of a hot water bottle put into your bed while you are dining. Which is most welcome on chilly evenings.”
