Simon our guide met us off the plane and said we would take the long way round back to our lodge. In the first ten minutes we had seen a leopard, Simon then took us to the lodge as he wanted to get out once again, to show someone else. Mean while we checked in and taken to our lodge...

Oct 24, 2010 - Chanremi: This review is certainly suspicious as it's just simply not factual or accurate. I really believe it is falsely written by a competing lodge. My husband and I just spent 3 glorious nights at the Royal Mara from Nov 1-4, 2010. It is a 10 on a scale of 10. Crawling into bed at night...

What a wonderful stay ! We were several families (7 adults, 6 kids aged 7 to 10), staying in this wonderful reserve for 3 days. The lodge is great, the accommodations are very spacious and beautifully decorated, and with the new lounge coming soon it will be even more perfect. The owners are very kind and the team is very...

W e went to Royal Mara on 9th October and stayed for two nights. We booked direct with them and then organised our flights with Mombassa Air from Diani Beach air strip. Can honestly say they offered more than a 5* service from the moment we were picked up at the air field. The accommodation is as you see it...

There is only one way to describe the Royal Mara Lodge - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Everything from the service, to the rooms, to the food and to the location are out of this world. I travelled there with my partner at the end of October, we were greeted at the airport for Julius (Our AMAZING safari guide) on the way back...

We travelled to the Royal Mara in October for 2 nights/3days. We found this lodge fantastic and have no complaints! We were greeted with an ice cold towel and drink, which was fab after a 2hour plane ride from Ukunda. Check-in was quick and we were taken to our room by Johnson, who was our room attendant for the duration...

This lodges is new but not well maintained. We travel a lot in Africa and as a lodge this is not a good one. The rooms are very big but the zippers are broken and there are big holes in the mosquito nets of the tent and the ones that are at the bed. The rooms are clean though. The...

Our 4 nights at Royal Mara were the adventure of a lifetime! You arrive on a small airstrip, and your safari guide picks you up. As you are driving from the airstrip to the lodge, you'll see wild animals on the way! Baboon, zebra, all kinds of gizelles, giraffe, wildabeast are abundant. Our eyes popped at the sight of all...
