Dorm beds VERY comfortable, clean, amazing common area (you will feel like in the botanic garden), hot and cold water for guests, hot shower, BIG lockers, a bit pricey but reliable place. Staff will help you as they can. Very good English.

Looking for a low cost, friendly, and clean place to stay in Beijing - this could be it. Located in an area frequented by Chinese (rather than foreign) tourists, this laneway is buzzing seven days and late into the night. Conveniently located a short walk from the Drum and Bell Towers, there are plenty of food options nearby and with...

We checked in late at night but the staff is still accommodating. Though not many of them can really speak english very well. The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is just about right. Though the room's okay, don't expect luxurious room. It's just a simple two beds and an ordinary restroom.

First and foremost I have to say that it is vital that you have the name and address and probably a map for this hostel printed out before you try to find it as it is down a little pedestrian alleyway so your taxi driver will not be able to take you to the front door address. Such was the...

Located in a renovated hutong area of Beijing is this lovely youth hostel. Don't expect 5 star bed, services and food but if you look for a decent place to sleep, a shower and breakfast: this is a great option. We booked private rooms to ensure a private bathroom. Prices are very low compared to other hotels so that was...

Stayed here for 4 nights and it is very close to Beijing's subway which is one of the best ways to go around this huge city. Rooms are quite big and very very clean. Since it is located at Nanluoguxiang, do expect tourists (both local and foreign) to flood the streets. We however could not hear any street noises from...

There was zero communication to us from this hostel even though there had been major road work on nanluoguxiang (the main street to get to the hostel). 95% of shops, bars and restaurants were closed due to the roadwork. The peking international youth hostel is pricier than all surrounding hostels and is certainly not worth staying at under these conditions....

This place is resting on ALOT of old positive reviews for the private rooms - NOT the dorm rooms: 1) For dorm stayers, there is ONLY 1 sink, 2 shower stalls and 2 toilets for EVERYONE (men AND women + staff) + 1 toilet downstairs for the restaurant patrons. Luckily as the temperature drops in Beijing, so do the #s...

Rooms very quiet, despite being in such a busy area. Beds are a bit hard, for people used to soft matresses In short one of the best Price value...

Stayed here twice now....and wouldn't think about staying anywhere else whilst in Beijing. Ideally situated in a bustling hutong, with good Metro connections. Staff are friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. I had train tickets and permits delivered here ready for my arrival and the staff, who checked us in, were keen to give us a helping hand making sure all documents...

A lively hostel! If you like to be surrounded by flowers, and if you like to feel like home when you travel, this is the right place for you!Peking International Youth Hostel is situated at the most charming and popular Hutong Conservative District in Beijing - the south of Nanluoguxiang. It is located near the very heart of the city, in the Dongcheng District. The alley's north end is enclosed by Gulou and Zhonglou. A little south-west at the end of the alley, is the middle axis of Beijing where the Jingshan Park, the Forbidden City and the Tiananmen Square sits along. The gorgeous night time attraction sites, Houhai, Qianhai and Shishahai is just to the west of the alley, in a distance that should take you around only 10 to 15 minutes walk through Yu'er Hutong. ... more   less
