I think this is one of the best hotels to stay in hutong area. With architecture being so ancient with courtyards and making you step into some other era the rooms are equally modern to give the comfort of modern life that we have got so used to. Big spacious rooms, and bathroom. The staff needs and exceptional mention for...

A wonderful-looking courtyard hotel, set with koi ponds and bridges, colorful painted doorways and dark wood furniture in the common areas. The rooms themselves are light, western-style and comfortable. The second floor rooms have windows overlooking the roofs nearby, on the first floor you're reliant on interior courtyard windows for light. Service was perfectly fine, and the location is fascinating,...

My wife, twin 11 year old daughters and I just spent three nights at Hans Royal Garden Hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic. It's right in the middle of a huton district with lots of life and cultural authenticity. The hotel itself also very unique. It feels like stepping back in time 100 years to an old Chinese temple or...

Great Place, very traditional chinese atmosphere in the architecture. But rather visit in the warmer month, because traditionally all rooms go directly to the courtyard with no hallway. Maybe skip the breakfast (no daylight) and go to one of many nice places in the neighborhood

We tremendously enjoyed our stay at Han's Royal Garden Hotel in Beijing. The service was perfect. The rooms are very spacious, and very clean. The hotel is located in a very quite area, yet very close to a pedestrian hutong street, and to a subway station. The rooms are organised around small nice gardens. The overall feeling, is a stay...

We were greeted warmly at reception and checked swiftly into our lovely ground floor room. The hotel grounds are very pretty and peaceful. Our room sported the deepest bath I've ever laid in and a great shower. Plenty of room to relax and rest - a quite oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Beijing. Bed was a bit...

As other reviews state, this hotel is in a beautiful, large, and renovated traditional Courtyard House. It spans the block between two parallel Hutongs (accounting for the two addresses found on various websites). The neighborhood is interesting. The charming N-S Nan Luogu Xiang (South Drum and Gong Lane) is lined with small shops, and is a tourist attraction. The E-W...

Han's Royal garden really deserves the name "royal". It's a wonderful hotel in the hutongs, streching between two hutongs with six inner yards, ponds, galleries, fountains, sofas and so on. It's conveniently located to all mayor sightseeing places and aesthetically designed in traditional chinese style. Since we wanted two separate beds, but they had none left they just upgraded us...

Excellent location in Hutong area. Lots of activities in this area. Hotel is of old quaint style of Beijing back in the past. Staff are fantastic and they do speak some English. Yummy breakfast in a quiet restaurant. The rooms need some touch up as you could see it's not well maintained. Bathroom floor get really wet after shower. Otherwise...

The communal areas of the hotel are beautifully decorated with lovely little courtyards around which the rooms are located. It feels authentic and fitting with the Hutong area but with it being two stories and rooms having an ensuite I assume it is newly built? Either way it looks great in both daylight and at night time. The staff were...
