I stayed here for two nights while attending a conference nearby. The rooms are large and very well appointed. For the price, they exceeded expectations. Unfortunately if you are arriving a little later and looking for food and good service, then you may be disappointed. We asked the Concierge where the best place to go for Chinese food, he suggested...

Let me start by saying that I stayed in building 1 and it is great. I later stayed in Building 4 which wasn't. Building 1 is the grand hotel. I has really comfortable beds and also has a place to exchange your money downstairs. There is also a little gift shop that you can buy a coke and snickers at....

This hotel felt like it was in China - so many other hotels look like anywhere else in the world. The interiors are detailed and Chinese in motif. It feels a bit like stepping back in time. The grounds are lovely, the room I had was large and comfortable and had plenty of bathroom amenities. The staff were efficient, if...

Hard to describe this monstrously big hotel, which at first glance may seem comfortable and spacious given its large size rooms with big baths and lots of open space, but in reality it is a rundown establishment with little charm and not very welcoming. The breakfast, however, is surprisingly good, offering very rich and fresh selection of Asian as well...

The Friendship Hotel is huge. In fact, it's a whole area full of huge buildings with what must be thousands of rooms, set in a garden of sorts. Even getting to breakfast required a five minute walk. With multiple restaurants, a pool and gym, gift shops, and all the services a traveller might need, it's predominently a business hotel. However,...

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel to attend a conference. My room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and ordered. Metro is within walking distance. However, talking to the staff was a nightmare. Most of them don't understand/speak good English. I tried to get some food at the restaurant but the waiters were not able to take my...

travelled on business and was booked in Building 2, "disaster" needs attention as compared to building 1 which has some character and wifi in your room. building 2 lobby is average compared to building 1. Long walk to breakfast area and the hotel layout is a compound and you need to request a map to understand the layout. Breakfast is...

I stayed 5 nights in this hotel. As I am from Nepal, I don't speak Chinese so, I was worried for the communication problem which I had earlier in kunming city hotel. But surprisingly most of the front desk staff can speak English so it was easy for me to communicate. The room was nice and big. The bathroom was...

Stayed here for a work meeting in Beijing. This hotel was booked for me by the organisers, i would otherwise not choose to stay here. :-) I stayed on the executive floor which was 'nice', however rooms were tired looking, not dirty or anything but it just looked like i was back in the 1980s. Looks aside, everything was functional....
