China World was home-away-from home for me when I was in Beijing for the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Stayed from May 11 to 17 in Room 1615. It is very comfortable, and spacious enough, allowing me ample rest at night after a full day's work. Kudos too to the attentive and courteous housekeeping staff. Guomao subway station...

Hotel is really very luxurious. Very good for hosting large international events. Drivers and staff very friendly. Room was very clean. Typical Chinese interior. Also room spacious enough and all the things you need are there. Lunch restaurant was OK. Quick service. Had dinner in the Chinese restaurant. This was less. Ordered fish and had many bones in them. Too...

After 20 years of travel to Beijing I continue to make China World Hotel my number one choice. It has never disappointed me. I always chose Horizon Club level and the rooms and the club continue to be excellent. The rooms are always clean and the staff are very respectful of ones needs. The Horizon Club management and staff anticipate...

The hotel is jaded, outdated, and feels "tired". This problem is compounded because the front office staff are rude, cryptic, stubborn, and uncooperative. They do not use common-sense but only respond like robots. The Cafe staff feel they are doing you a favour by serving you. The internet is non existing because the Chinese Government has banned Google, Gmail, YouTube,...

A bit dated compared to its sister hotel across the street but still has a great magnificent lobby and attentive staff. Stayed one night when in transit and really enjoyed the hotel. Great location for restaurants and shopping.

We had originally decided to stay 5 nights in Shangri-La's World Hotel and selected the Horizon Club rooms in the higher levels. When we arrived the welcome was very nice and efficient. Unfortunately the two interconnected rooms looked old, faded (stained carpet & curtains, faded furniture)) and small. We informed the hotel staff straightaway and they apologized: we needed interconnected...

This was the most AMAZING hotel. Very grand decor, chandeliers, staircases. Very comfortable and spacious beds. Great location, subway is directly under the hotel just minutes walk away! Stayed in one of the Horizon Club rooms - wonderful views of Beijing and had access to club lounge as well. Highly recommend this hotel!

We had originally been booked into the Trader’s Hotel which we learned the day before we arrived was slated for closure, so we were upgraded to the World Hotel.
