I stayed at the Friendship Hotel for a 3-day workshop and conference, and it was a great venue. The garden-style campus is quiet and green; since the nearest park is quite far (Summer Palace), runners can amuse themselves with the 1.3-km loop (doing a bunch of loops is actually not too boring since there is a lot to see). The... More

The Grand building of Beijing Friendship Hotel is worthy staying. Facilities are fine; breakfast is ok, although charged expensively. Whilst staff at the front desk need to enhance her communications and effective interactions before jumping to issues rised, such as no show-up.

I went to this hotel on a business trip - our meeting was within the complex. The hotel is a huge campus with several large hotels, a central "Friendship Palace" with restaurants and gardens. I had a suite in building 2 - more expensive, but having read the reviews about building 4, I didn't want to risk smoke smells on... More

If your take a flight, you can get there by shuttle bus from airport, and if you take a train, you can get there by metro. It's a hotel with more than 10 buildings in the whole garden. It's convenient for guests to find place to go shopping or have dinner.

This hotel looks really grand on the outside and is more like a mini suburb of buildings. On the inside the hotel or block that I stayed in was aging and in bad need of some maintenance. The carpet was grubby and room smelly. The clothes hanger was a cheap portable rack and the bathroom was old and toilet cramped... More

First, imagine a garden hotel in the center of Peking. Great! The beer garden in front of the Friendship Palace (in which very good breakfast is served) is a cosy place to have a dinner or just a drink (but only imported beer and no wine) in the evening. Numer two, the hotel tells the history of Soviet-China warm relationship... More

The picture looks nice, and I understood that the main building has been renovated so rooms should be ok. As for mine, it was terrible. Completely outdated, not clean, cigarette odour, hot. This place is made up out of a large number of separate buildings on a large premises, all of them in poor shape. Breakfast to be taken in... More

This is a second and shorter review of the two-star Beijing Friendship Hotel. I stayed there a couple of years ago and gave it an ok review. That time I stayed in building number two. This time it was building four. It was better. Nice sized room with a comfortable temperature in June. Big comfortable bed. The buildings are very... More

It's easily accessible by the subway line 4. Get off at the Renmin university station and walk 500m and you'll be at the hotel. It's a massive hotel with 8 or so buildings. Well maintained and good service as well. There are all the facilities including a gym. Architecture of the hotel is also eye catching. Nothing to worry about... More

I stayed here for a conference over 5 nights. The staff were great, the suite excellent and the amenities okay. The only draw backs were the bar closing at 11pm every night. The breakfast omelet was one of the best I have had, but other than that the food was good but not spectacular. Handy to the metro, but not... More
