I had previously been to China and stayed in a wonderful hotel, however it was very impersonal, and could have been anywhere in the world. This time I wanted to feel more like I was actually IN China, and the choice of the Red Lantern...More
We stayed in both the West and East Courtyards, both had their own charms. In the west courtyard there was more of a hostel feel about it. The rooms were divided between private rooms and dorms. We arranged train tickets and a trip to the...More
My son and I had an ensuite room in the West Yard for 5 nights and were very pleased with our stay. It was a five minute walk to the metro and there were local shops and resteraunts nearby, it is not a touristy area...More

When I went last December though (which is low season), I booked about three weeks ahead of time and it was no problem...there were still plenty of rooms available when I was staying there.
They're pretty good about responding to emails, so you can try contacting them to be sure. It's a great place, hope you enjoy!

I would imagine they would do this, just email them and ask. We paid them to pick us up at the airport at about 8-9pm I think, I can't remember how much but it was a rate for the pick up plus a small fee to pay for the driver's parking ticket. Our plane was late but they had the flight details and knew when to be there. Enjoy China!
