We were staying for Christmas with family who live in Beijing. They chose the Nuo for our Christmas meal - it was a truly gourmet experience with champagne being topped up throughout the meal. We all chose different options but the buffet included turkey as well as other delicious roasts, a great range of fish, vegetarian dishes, fruits, breads, cheese and puddings so tempting one alone was not enough! We were served by Alica who quietly ensured we were all enjoying the meal as she efficiently cleared the table and filled our glasses.
We returned on 29th December for Sunday brunch which was equally gourmet and once again we were truly spoiled by all the food choices and the flowing champagne. This time Kevin served us and was well trained to know when we needed his support.

We loved our stay at Nuo Beijing, near the forbidden city. The location was just fantastic, and we could pretty much walk to many places such as forbidden city and Temple of Heaven.

The beds were very comfortable for good nights sleep. And the people there were super friendly, helping us with everything we need: they were very knowledgeable and we didn't have to overcome any language barrier since they spoke very good English.

The hotel is located right in front of Wangfujing station, hence traveling is very convenient.
Beside the hotel has few malls and eatery, the famous duck restaurant and a very huge book store.
It’s the sister hotel of Beijing Hotel, hence the lobby is link.
Room was decent and spacious, we booked a deluxe room but sadly is not much view.
Overall had a great stay in this hotel and we will definitely stay here again when we visit Beijing.

Dear SufenKe, It was a pleasure having you as our guest and thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am thrilled to read that you enjoyed the location with its shopping mall and different restaurants. The Beijing Hotel is our neighbour hotel, however our sister hotel is located in the Wangjing district located 40 minutes away from us. I am happy that you liked our rooms, but apologize that you were unsatisfied with the view. Looking forward to welcome you back when you plan to travel to Beijing. There are several positive points to this hotel. The room is very spacious (more space than you would ever need), everything is clean, the staff is responsive, and you can't beat the location almost right in front of a subway entrance in Beijing's core. I also liked their (own brand) of toiletry.

Several points need to be improved. Check-in is at 4pm, although it said 2pm and I had it confirmed prior to showing up. That wasted two hours of my time. Most staff members do not speak English, which is problematic for a hotel of this standing. There was a single body towel for two people. The bathtub is in a dark corner of a very uninspired room, which makes it gloomy to take a bath. The style of the room feels a bit dated, and the carpet in the hallway is really in need of a revamp (dirty and uneven).

Overall, I wouldn't mind going back, but I'd also consider alternatives. Note that booking through their website can be cheaper than going through a third-party, but they do not necessarily honor the conditions stated on their website such as a room upgrade.

We arrived on the 1st January and hade the best 5 nights we could wish for.
The hotel has an absolute TOP LOCATION. We needed 5min to the Forbidden city -walking.
The Wangfujing street is 100m from the hotel.
Subway is 50m from hotel and it will take you to all important places you need to see, such as Temple of Heaven.
The hotel is very beautiful and clean. Staff is very nice and polite. They are always ready to answer all your questions and in good English, which believe me it isn't common in China. For example if you go to tourist info they will use mobile voice translator to understand you and give you answers. Woow!
Breakfast is amazing...the best I had in all China. Basicaly anything you think of and most of all...coffee is very very good.
They arranged us a taxi for the last day and the price was fair. No extra charge.
We were on our honeymoon and the prepared us a heart shapped cake and fruit. Also put rose paddles on the bed. Very beautiful and thoughtfull!
We also used their pool. It was nice but just a little bit cold. Maybe you should heat the place and the water a bit more.

Thank you so much for making our 5 days in Beijing something we will never forget!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights during the 2022 Lunar New Year holiday. This is a historic and old hotel with a lot of history. Our room was a Heritage Room overlooking Chang An Avenue. Excellent location just a few minutes away from Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street, and the old historic center of Beijing.

In general, a good stay. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, even though probably in need of some refurbishment. Very good breakfast in the morning, mostly Chinese breakfast, but also with a good variety of Western options.

The hotel seemed to be running with extremely few staff, probably due to the new year holiday. Gym was closed, swimming pool was closed, and the only dining option available was a very limited menu at the Writers Bar, and only until 9am.

All in all, a good stay and we enjoyed our few days here, though probably it would have been a much better experience had the hotel was operating in a 'normal mode'.

This hotel is the sort of place you imagine was the height of modernity and fashion 50-100 years ago. Fortunately, the old girl has held up very well over the years.
One can imagine there is a Presidential Suite somewhere upstairs in which current heads of state are housed when visiting Beijing.
I was in a deluxe king room and the deal I got on it through hotels dot com was amazing!
The room was spacious and clean - well appointed, and the amenities were exquisite. All organic and smelled fantastic...including the bath salts I found in a small jar on the tub. Furnishings were tasteful and opulent. Service was first rate from check in to check out. The main floor lounge was beautiful and quiet.
English was spoken by most of the staff, and I had no problems communicating.

The hotel is very well located, the style is classic, the room (ours faced the main avenue) was very spacious and with quality bedding and towels. So much for the good. The bad thing, the room is very poorly insulated, and you can hear the constant traffic on the avenue. Day and night. For me, it was a problem, I had to sleep with earplugs. The service is bad or nonexistent. Upon our arrival we had to take our suitcases out of the taxi, climb the steps of the hotel with them, get to reception, and when we were about to take the elevator to go up to the room, the waiter appeared. Not even that on the march. The lady who helped us at reception was like an official at her window, zero empathy. For the price the hotel charges, the service should have been much better.

Do not visit this hotel in spring or summer. While lovely and historic they do not run AC after 9pm. The rooms are hot and have poor cooling. There are no individual controls for temperature. Multiple guests complained, even other hotel higher ups were staying during our stay and were angry about how hot their rooms were. The bridal sweet was even hotter than the regular rooms so you will be hot while getting ready / taking photos if you're having a wedding onsite.

A renewed old hotel, with all the glamour of the 60s. Big rooms, with a hall and a bedroom. Very clean, Wi-fi signal poor. People in reception speaks english, waiters in the restaurant don´t, so it is better to have translater in the cell phone. Breakfast included and plenty of different foods.
