We LOVED this hotel. Beijing was the first stop on our trip around China and we arrived tired and jet lagged. But we were soon given a lift when we arrived at this unique courtyard hotel. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Our room, although a little on the small side, was nicely decorated with beautiful traditional furniture which...

We stayed in this Hotel for 5 days in Oct 2011. It was a lovely experience. The location is good as it is only a few minutes walk from the Metro Station in a very central district. The staff are very warm and the services are very good. The room is very clean. For those woho really want to experience...

This was the first place we stayed in on our holiday in China. It was a good place to start. We had a luxury room, where the bed was nicely decorated with curtains. And it had airco, important in the hot summer in Beijing. The courtyard as a whole was nice. The front desk staff was friendly but spoke little...

Beijing is a very big city and one can easily get lost, or worse, commoditized. At Sihe one is treated as a valued guest. Staff members from the front desk personnel to the driver bend over backwards to accommodate every guest. (And they refuse to accept tips, at least when we were there)! The furniture in the guest rooms are...

My husband and I traveled to Beijing along with our two children ages 9 and 14, and my brother. We enjoyed our stay at the Beijing Sihe Hotel. It was everything we thought it would be. It is located down a narrow hutong alley where taxis would not drop us off in front of the door. However it is not...

All rave reviews are spot on...We had a wonderful stay at the hotel (of course the beds were quite hard as we found out throughout China but the room was lovely and the staff was delightful). I highly recommend this lovely hotel located in a Hutong close to all sorts of public transportation, DaDong’s newest restaurant, the night food street...

If you want classic Chinese, this is the place. Neighbourhood very run down, but safe. We wanted to see real China and this hotel the real deal.

The hotel is a sihe (four fold) house in a hutong. It is in the middle of a hutong district, so you are really living with the locals. The rooms are a bit small but have Chinese furniture, making it interesting. We love the central courtyard. If you want the facilities of big American hotels, don't come here. But if...

Situated in the 'hutongs' of Beijing, it is only 15 minutes away from Wangfujing Street. The first room they showed me was too tiny and heavily decorated that I felt claustrophobic. They then changed me to a bigger and a well lit room. I liked the traditional decor- there was a tea table/sofa sort of setting, a poster bed with...
