We stayed 3 nights at the flower yard hotel for a Beijing getaway holiday. The room was very nice renovated and decorated with lovely accessories. Also there is a shared Terrasse to enjoy the nature. Breakfast was in the nearby hotel 5 minutes to walk from flower yard which provided lot’s of choice. But the best was having Angel and Tony as our hosts. They are lovely and very helpful with everything. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to coming back to this place.

Rooms were great and clean. Service was great as the owner is always on the property. Real country atmosphere in a modern "hutong"! Lakes nearby as well as the Great Wall. Good central position for exploring. Lovely breakfast in the morning and GOOD coffee! Definitely recommend and will be returning.

Tony and Angel were so accomodating with all my email questions prior to staying the last 3 nights with them and their gorgeous daughter, Emma. We were collected from the airport and transported to the Floweryard. As other reviews stated, Nothing is too much for these hosts, they are keen to make your stay as interesting as possible And they are super flexible, even a 4:30AM trip to The airport. My 16yo son also got to play soccer with Tony, artificial pitch with ice/snow quite a different experience for him. Breakfast was amazing and our last night we shared an authentic hot pot experience with them and their friends. Dinner the night before we walked to a local restaurant and they came and waited for us and always helped with English translation. We could not have asked for anything more - totally loved our stay. They also took us early to the Wall - nothing was too much trouble - so welcoming and felt very special.

The Flower Yard is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Angel is an amazing host and speaks nearly perfect English. She is extremely helpful and friendly. She drove us to the entrance of the wall, bought our tickets and walked us all the way to the shuttle bus, then picked us up when we were done. She took us to a great restaurant across the road that night and helped us order food. She even booked our tickets for the Forbidden City in Beijing before we left. Angel is simply the best. Now about the room - it is lovely. It's decorated to be colourful and traditional. The bed is king sized and comfortable. The AC unit works great for cold and heat. There is an attached private bathroom that is fine - hot water, towels, etc. Nothing special but does the trick. She made us breakfast in the morning - eggs, toast, fried bread, jams, fruits. Overall I cannot recommend Flower Yard enough.

nice stay, nice food, nice people. Close to Mutianyu Great Wall and Sanmuyuan for yum fruit choices. chestnut, peach, dates, apple... You will have cherry if it’s between May to July. Tony gave us a quick guide to the places of interest. And also drove us to the destination. Feel so convenient to have their help. They also offer pottery class but we haven’t had time to do it. Looking forward to going back again.

Fantastic hosts - never known anything like this in my life before. No request is too much! We wanted playing cards and crayons for the kids - they went and got them! We don't catch the bus to the wall, we get driven personally by the owners! Serious star treatment and a definite return trip already planned! Angel and Tony are phenomenal and I will recommend them time and time again, I was honored to even spend my birthday with them!

We got to the Flower yard in the evening, after a 2 hour delay. Tony took us to a nearby restaurant by car and stayed while we were eating. He recommended some dishes to us and it was a good choice. Especially the dumplings and the fried vegetables were delicious. Next day they served us the best breakfast we had. Popcorn chicken, strawberries, toast, dumplings, all so good that even my picky daughter loved everything. Tony took us to the wall, he drove us directly to the toboggan station so we didn't have to take the shuttle bus and it saved us a lot of time. Once we were done, he picked us up again. Not only they offered all extras for free (even did my laundry for free), they are a lovely couple. Angel's and Tony's English are good and they gave us tons of tips, gave an inside into their lives. My kids loved to play with their little girl. I cannot recommend this place enough, we wish we could have stayed longer and if we go back to visit the wall, we'd definitely would stay there again. Everything was clean, Tony is a great artist and did a great job decorating. Just one comment, the family room has an extra bed, but is not a really comfortable, so we all slept together in one bed but as it was cool at night, it was nice and snuggly.

Flower Yard, near Mutianyu Great Wall, is a lovely little bed and breakfast place. The hosts, Angel and Tony are so hospitable and go out of their way to make your stay easy. I stayed with my two grown up sons and we had plenty of room in the accomodation. The room was cosy and warm on arrival, breakfast was superb, and Tony drove us to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Also drove us to the bus station so we could catch bus back to Beijing. Highly recommend this place!

When looking for a place to stay near MuTianYu, this is a great choice. Tony and Angel are an adorable Chinese couple and very kind hosts. Their English is very good and their hospitality very generous. The room we had (the large one) was beautifully decorated and most paintings are actually from Tony. It is less than 10 minutes by car to the wall. Breakfast is good and well-balanced (eggs, pop-corn chicken, fruits, toasts & jam, etc.) and their coffee delicious (no need for sugar).

We rented both rooms for the 6 of us. The breakfasts we delicious. Tony drove us to The Wall and purchased our tickets for us. He also arranged our dinner. It was amazing. His paintings are very good and decorate the rooms. They have multiple souvenir shops that have the best prices around. Angel is fluent in English and Tony is almost fluent. They met every need we had and made our stay incredible.
