The last time I stayed in this hotel was six years ago. I used to be in Chongqing on average twice in three months. It was then a typical Chinese managed hotel. This time round, the first thing that struck me was the nicely renovated and decorated lobby. It looks very orderly, clean and need. The checking counter has a...

We stayed here for a week as part of a group visit to Chongqing. It's in a convenient location in Shapingba, near shops, grocery stores, restaurants, a subway stop, and Three Gorges Square. It's not close to downtown but it's very easy to take the subway, Everything is in English in the subway. We stayed in a renovated room. It...

Was there for two nights - great location as the hotel is close to shops and restaurants as well as squares for people watching. However, the hotel is being renovated - which is good for all those people reviewing the dated facilities - but bad for current travelers. Reception on the 4th floor in the lobby and no pool and...

I stayed here with a group in November 2014. Our rooms were varied with some group members having regular, western beds with high, soft mattresses while others had beds that came to mid calf and were extremely firm, hard. The rooms smelled of smoke and previous guests. Carpets are worn as is furniture. Bathroom calking around the edge of the...

Just beside Three Gorges Square, pretty convenient for pretty much everything but is pretty far from downtown Chongqing. There is subway to downtown, but it can take up to 40 minutes to go there. The hotel is pretty old, you can see cracks on bathroom tiles but it is clean. The service did not like star rated hotel, no porter...

Don't forget to request a non smoking room if you mind that stuff. My room was clean of any odor, but the smell from people smoking in the hallway got into my room. Good size, nice desk, clean sheets, towels and bathroom. The bed mattresses are hard but I don't mind that. The streets are noisy even at midnight. The...

The title says most of it. The location is amazing. Right in the middle of City square in Chongqing. 10 meters walk to the most happening place in city. Carrefour, Walmart, McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Haagen Dazs, name it and its right there. A typical family hotel, with lots of crowd, noise, on the main road but the traffic in...

This is a hotel for budget travellers. Unfortunately one of my local Chinese colleagues booked this hotel and I will not let him do it again. Room smelled of smoke, breakfast not very interesting and service not very impressive either. Wireless worked every now and then but never good. Location was fine, plenty of restaurants in the area.
