As a frequent traveler, I travel throughout the world. This hotel, without reservation, was the worse stay I have ever experienced in my 76 years on planet earth. The "guest house" is in a building that has retail shops and it is almost impossible to get to the room. People from different cultures pushing trashy things in your face and...

Simon, the host, is really friendly and lives there too, so he is there if you need him. The room was very small, but it had everything that was needed. The bathroom is really small as well. However, everything is easy to reach from there. The ferry, night market and also the trains.

Important thing is to understand what you're paying for and that's a very central location in a very expensive city. We stayed in two different places for the same price, but one was further out and a little nicer. Guangdong Guest House was certainly more convenient, less time on the bus or train and more closely located things. The room...

Simon is amazing and all rooms are perfect. We had a TV a fridge, and just about everything we could need. Simon was super helpful and the location was great. The building itself isn't the best, but if you can see past that the hotel is great value for money.

Stayed here for 2 days for Chinese New Years Feb 7-9th. Location is amazing, very close to the Harbor front and right across from Tsim Sha Tsui Train Sation and about 3-5 min walk to East Tsim Sha Tsui station (which I used to get to Ngong 360 on Lantau Island). The 21 bus from the airport also stops right...

You expect Hong Kong to be expensive and to get a very small space if you're not able to splurge, so I wasn't really surprised that the room was small and that the area around (Chungking Mansions in TST) wasn't great - it's what you're going to get if you want somewhere fairly central (TST) and even vaguely affordable. What...

As Hong Kong is a very busy city, this guesthouse offers a very true Hong Kong experience in one of the busiest buildings in the city. It's very recommended to experience the Chunking Mansion and this guesthouse is one of the safest options, offering a very clean compact room.

First walking into the building where our hotel was situated was a bit daunting, a busy market place type area. Caught lift B to the 3rd floor where Simon our manager met and took us to our room. Everywhere had coded locks for safety which was good. If was very small with 2 double both against a wall with a...

Pros - Simon! Works tirelessly running the hostel, was always very polite with us and keeps the rooms very clean - location - price (??) Cons - everyday is an ordeal getting in and out of Chungking mansion. The hostel is about 6 floors up and the lift always packed so you can take the fire stairs. The stairs seem...

Rather lovely guest house in the middle of Hong Kong, which is easy to get to from the airport and within distance of several stations and the harbour. Nathan road is tout heaven, but Chungking Mansions isn't menacing at all. Simon (the owner) is lovely and will look after your every need. All in all, it was a wonderful trip...

“you can share double rooms when you're under 200 pounds but if not, a double room should be okay for just one person. we took a quad room but there were only three of us so it was not so bad. four people in a quad room moving at the same time would be quite difficult but remember that in hongkong, space is a premium.”
