We stayed in deluxe room (10th floor) on MARCH 2011 for 7 night..... booked through hotels.com Location: very close to Yau Ma Tei MTR station entrance....(only few steps behind the hotel building), also there are a lot of bus choice in front of the lobby....this was the greatness about the Cityview. The King's park is in walking distance, nice and...

This is my 3rd stay at Cityview and I am seriously considering if I should change the choice of hotel for my next HK trip. This time I stayed in the deluxe room which is slightly bigger. However the bed is really hard and it gets more uncomfortable as the air vents are located right at the side of the...

Located in Kowloon section of Hong Kong with convenient access to public transportation; subway is down the block and buses on adjacent street. If you like shopping for top of the line watches and jewelry than you are in an ideal location. The hotel staff speaks English and is friendly. My experience at this hotel is a very mixed bag. The location was fantastic with MTR Yau Ma Tei station just around the corner, a supermarket across the road, Nathan Road within a few paces and Temple Street Market a street away. There are heaps of restaurants of varying budget within walking distance including local fare with English menus such...

We arrived at the hotel, check-in was very easy, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. this is a modern hotel with spacious rooms. Our room on the 16th floor offered a terrific panorama of Kowloon, was very clean, and had the modern amenities that you'd expect (eg, coffee maker, fridge, hair dryer, etc, etc). There were no surprises, and...

I stayed over at Cityview hotel for 6 days during my recent trip to Hong Kong and I was very happy with the hotel. They provided excellent service and was always willing to help me with my enquiry. They are usually fluent in English though some of them knows Cantonese better. The hotel is rather spacious, considered many other hotels...

We arrived late eveing at HK airport & caught the A21 City Flyer bus which dropped us 100 metres from the hotel. The checkin was seamless & the staff efficient. Our room was rather small but we only paid for a standard room (125 AUD) so no surprise. The breakfast was excellent & our stay was very enjoyable.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
