I only stayed there one night after spending the week in Mongkok. The room was not well cleaned and I just put it down to the fact that they were still cleaning the room when I arrived. Being a backpacker hostel it has a lot of information and advice to help you on your trip. I had an early flight...

It is recommended if you are staying in this Hotel only at night because they will switch off the air-condition and it is very hot in hong kong, you can imagine how it is. And you must bring a power bank to charge during day time because there is not power supply for each single bed and there are 3...

When I checked in I was taken across the road to a different building. I had a room to myself which was sufficient. Not a sociable hostel, met no one! My bed sheets never got changed for 5 nights stay. Puddles would appear on the floor when raining. You could hear people in the apartments above talking while in the...

I joined a friend there for a night. Her room was not bad in size for the money. And there any good points stop. She had to clear pubic hairs from carpet (with tissue paper) and wash them from shower. It is not clean. Price wise it keeps changing, i paid for that night, she had already been there 5...

This is part of a group of hostels in Causeway Bay. The location is EXCELLENT. Very close to the subway (exit E), a Wellcome and plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes. Victoria Park is around the corner. The Wan Chai bar street is around a 25 minute walk away. The rooms are basic. The Internet isn't great. But for this...

Nestled in the heart of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Hostel is an ideal spot from which to discover Hong Kong. The hotel is not too far from the city center. It's can walk form MRT Causeway Bay Station. Hostel located at 3rd floor of Fashion walk but i can't find main entrance. The main entrance is outside. Room's small but...

Two travellers stayed for 1 week in a triple room, booked this for the extra space. Room on the tenth floor was clean as was the bathroom. Cleaning service offered daily. Wifi aircon and TV worked well. Shower can be a bit tricky to get hot water. Room was secure and was relatively quiet for HK! Reception is located on...

The address where you check in and pay for your room isn't even on the same street as the dorms! We walked about 10 minutes in the city streets with a staff member to another building and she took us up to the dorms after we checked in. We had to walk back and forth to check out. Also, staff...

The dorm was spacious but not clean at all - it appears they only come in to change the bin. The whole place has a strange odour and requires a proper deep clean. You'll find one of the slowest lifts in the world in this building and the most dangerous stairs if wet. Wifi was only available in the common...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
