Pros: 1. Close to Kwun Tong station and promenade 2. The cleaning lady on my floor (26) is very warm and polite 3. The room is quite efficiently designed and spacious by HK standard Cons: a. I had takeaway for breakfast as I have amber code during my staying, but the staff was quite clueless when I mentioned I am a vegetarian. They need to be better trained for the dietary restrictions. b. No gym in the hotel though I managed to go jogging at the promenade. c. The neighborhood is not particularly pleasant. Still the old district to be developed.
If you're looking for a mid priced hotel that includes buffet breakfast this is the place. They have a Autumn promotion that gives you a free room upgrade and late checkout until 3pm. If you are a IHG member you can earn points towards your next stay too. Room was small but clean. Service was upbeat and the staff were helpful whenever you required help Decent hotel choice if you're looking for a place to stay in Kowloon side
I stayed here with a friend for 3 night pre cruise. It’s a very clean smart hotel with helpful efficient staff. There is an MRT station nearby which makes travelling around easy. It’s also near a large shopping mall which offers plenty food options. Breakfast was fine if a little repetitive and on our last day the toaster wasn’t there! Our only complaint would be the glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom. If someone used the bathroom during the night and switched on the light the bedroom was also lit up. Poor design.
Stayed here for just over 8 nights as I was travelling to Hong Kong to attend my best friends wedding there. Chose this hotel because of the location and the fact you had breakfast included. Location was not really very touristy but I enjoyed it there was enough to enjoy and so during the day. Breakfasts were Asian and Western inspired and I enjoyed them, they did get a little repetitive but what they did offer was tasty and the strong tea was a bonus for me. Room was clean and met all my needs. Shower fantastic and bathroom high spec. Bed a touch on the hard side but not an issue. Housekeeping immaculate. Loved the Sky Garden, an excellent feature for enjoying a break. Only thing I would like to see would be a bar serving drinks and snacks as I know the restaurant closes and doesn’t offer this but there are bars close by if you choose this. Have to say ALL staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble at all. We needed taxis arranging on a few occasions and this was never an issue and arranged quickly and efficiently. Loved the fact we got a letter from staff member Rainbow and it included vouchers for coffee and cakes at the Pacific Coffee over the road which we used and they were tasty indeed - thank you Rainbow. I really would like to return to Hong Kong in the near future. It was an unforgettable experience. If I do I will seriously consider returning to this hotel it was brilliant. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality and making our stay so pleasant. You are all stars!!!!…
I had to make a last minute overnight stay in the vicinity. Location wise it is within walking distance of Kwun Tong MTR station, although the entrance is a bit difficult to find. The reception service was quick and efficient. The room was very modern and very clean. One thing I did like about the room was that the shower was equipped with a wall dispenser for body wash. So no more little plastic bottles that are harmful to the environment. The only disappointing part of the stay was the breakfast. It is complimentary but the buffet variety was limited and the quality fair.
this hotel has been improved since my first visit 9 months ago, this is a budget hotel so I lowered my expectation although I am a IHG gold member, nothing is special but quick check in, clean room and good sleep, that is all.
Asked for a shaving kit - and they asked me to pick it up from the lobby myself. First time ever of staying in any hotel..even budget hotel in Mainland china would deliver a shaving kit. Room is smelly (probably a smoking room without asking preference). Breakfast is simple and basic. Probably not worth it given what it is
We had a wonderful stay here. Room is spacious and hotel is very clean and comfy. Breakfast Buffet repeats daily, so they have to improve that. They should offer other choices of food. MTR is nearby, so location is good as well. But if you would go shopping book a hotel in Central since this is kind of far end.
Kwun Tong is undergoing rapid gentrification. The fairly new hotelis across the street from major office complexes. I was entertaining a very important client so thought to save time we would have lunch at the "water Buffet!" One of the few restaurants , in the neighbourhood, that offers both a Chinese and Western menu. Noise level impossible to enjoy a pleasant conversation (the business had to continue across the street at her office) The air con was turned on full blast. The salad bar, desert and coffee is included in the price of the meal. One is offered nine choices. We both opted for the pasta.(carbonara). The salad bar Other than very fresh greens didn't have much else much to add. The main course arrived very quickly. The pasta very overcooked was unlike any carbonara that either one of us had eaten before. Neither one of us took more than a few bites. We both ordered a coffee Americano that came looking, and tasting, like hot sludge. Undrinkable. The brownies, one of the deserts on offer were outstanding. The check wasn't!. . The hotel is now a few months old so they would have had time to work out the kinks but haven't. As one of the very few restaurants serving western food they obviously are taking advantage. One very favourable point is the restaurant and the washrooms are immaculate.…
Easy to access the hotel by bus A29 from airport, it takes about an hour for the journey. Hotel closes to a big shopping mall - APM and metro station. Hotel is new and everything is in good condition. Breakfast was included. Choices were limited but taste good and enough to start the day.
