Overall a good hotel, although the rooms are small but that is typical of Hong Kong.. The staff were very polite. The area is easily accessible from MTR stations. Lots of nearby restaurants to eat as well.

We were 3 friends staying in 1 bedroom, it had 3 beds in it and were quite small. It had its own little bathroom with a toilet and towels were free of charge. It's not a nice building but for sleeping it's OK if you are alright with sleeping on the rock hard beds.. there's AC and and TV that...

The owners don't really speak English but their employee, Martin, who works there does. He was very helpful when I had a spot of trouble. Just ask if you need something like a new towel or laundry done (there is a small fee for laundry). The location was very convenient, the bus and the train only a short walk away...

Don't let the pictures fool you, we walked into this place and it was an unkept and ratty building. I booked two "3-person" rooms to find that they had only two small beds in them. The beds were jammed up against the wall and our legs hung off the end. We had to upgrade our room (and pay more) because...

The owners of this place don't really speak much English but are helpful. It's really conveniently located on Nathan Rd between Jordan and Yau Ma Tei MTRs close to the Temple St night market. The rooms were reasonable size for HK standards and very clean, possibly newly refurbished. There is a communal fridge from which things occasionally went missing. The...

Centrally located, rooms are small but clean as for lift and corridors not satisfactory but for the price we cannot expect much. Food easily available around and shopping in Temple street at night good since close to hotel. For families would certainly not recommend. Staff talks English and very helpful

the room was very clean, there was a shared refrigerator, accessible iron, the hot water worked all the time. For Hong Kong, these are all the things one would need. There was a strong smell of bug spray when we entered the hall, but the room never smelled. Apparently they were fighting ants. Finally, we asked them to do a...

We stayed there June 18, 2015. Receptionist was kind. Room was small but clean. We did see a small cockroach but in a building of that size in Hong Kong, that is normal. It is located right near the ladies market and temple street and the airport A22 bus drops you off only a couple minutes walk away. Did not...

When you're in Hong Kong, it's not usually for the hotel - you'll want to be in the streets, seeing the sights. It is located in a giant red building, easy to spot. The hotel itself is a bit trickier to find - but once you find the elevator it's real easy. Go to the 5th floor, the reception is...

Let me give you a rundown of some positive things about this place first. Location: Right at the heart of the Kowloon city. Nestled at Nathan Rd means that its just a walk away from night markets and shops. A bus away from the Airport through A21 City flyer and a 5-10min walk from MTR Jordan. Room: It is tidy....

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
