The hotel is situated in the heart of a HUGE market area. There are junkshops dotting the streets. Beside the hotel is a dressed poultry distributor. Next to that is a coffin shop and next door is a shop that buys recyclable paper materials. Across the street is a.community.park where elderly men sit.during the afternoons when it is.so hot!. The...

i guess the room is too small for someone who have big body, i cannot barely move in here and i have to put all my bag near the window. although the recepcionist are nice and kind but sadly they cannot afford to give us extra key card so i have to stick with my parents.

The hotel is a new hotel, but I can rate it as an inn. For the staffs seem not willing to work as no smile to guest as well as eye contact during check in and check out. Staff just do whatever they want to do and do not mention to guests need to wait as for waiting the respon...

The hotel is perfect for those who would spend their time in hong kong going around. The rooms are not big but most rooms in HK are not big its sufficient for sleeping and resting between trips. The staff are english proficient and friendly. Location wise it is excellent it is just three minutes walk from yau ma tei stop...

It was quite a bad experienced for this stay in Hong Kong due of this M1 hotel. This is not an proper hotel at all, Its more like a well decorated - boutique like service apartment. No sound proofing between rooms as you could even hear your neighbors conversation, TV channels and frequent slamming of doors while you're in the...

The check in was quick and efficient and we were soon shown to our rooms. These are Hong Kong sized, probably the smallest I have ever had. However, each was equipped with a small bathroom, 2 single beds, a bedside table, a TV, a refrigerator and A SMARTPHONE! This was such a useful facility provided free by the hotel for...

I have stayed in hotels in over 20 countries booked through this website and been happy but M1 is the crappiest place I've ever encountered. Coffin sized rooms, hard slabs I hesitate to call beds, breakfasts that made me sick and the worst service you can imagine. I speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin yet they barely bothered to respond...

Anyone who complains about the average size of hotel rooms in Hong Kong is visiting for all the wrong reasons. The M1 is a very well located, neat and friendly hotel. The rooms are clean and big enough to have a recharge and dump the day’s shopping. All rooms have wi-fi and an air-con, which always come in handy. They...

The location is the best part of staying here, the second best part is the free phone. Perfect location - right next to the Yau Mau Tei train station and right near Temple Street markets and Nathan rd (shops and food) - plus walk to Ladies markets and a few other tourist hot spots.Wish I had known how close it...

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
