The Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong garners high praise for its luxurious amenities, including an indulgent spa and exquisite dining, all conveniently situated in a central location ideal for both business and leisure. Guests are enamored with the comfortable and clean rooms, despite some noting the dated decor and tricky lighting controls. The atmosphere is celebrated for its sophistication, and the service is lauded for its professionalism and personalized touch. While rates are noted to be on the higher side, many travelers feel the value is justified by the generous offerings and meticulous attention to detail.

I would like to give the highest rate to one special employee - Marti Gispert who is Assistant Restaurant manager The Aubrey bar. As for me, such people should be on highest positions and I hope that the management draws their attention to this guy! I say from the point of view of a professional since I worked a lot in the sphere of service on the highest level. And the service and what is even more important - the attitude Matri gave to us during our visits to the Aubrey - and we had 4 during 5 nights stay!! - is above all praises! He is very hospitable, you always feel welcome - and we can compare to others even at the same place there - it is not always like this unfortunately - sometimes managers are a little bit arrogant - may be because they associate themselves with a high-class place - but it is not the way it should be in the sphere of hospitality.
So Marti is a combination of the best qualities a hospitality or restaurant top-manager should have! He is always very caring, asking guests about their experience and feedback in the place, giving recommendations about some top drinks and food positions, also very attentive to details - he remembered exactly what we like - for instance, we enjoyed a lot nori chips with a cocktail - and he always provided us plenty of it - he even organized a package of those before our last night in the hotel - with a card attached from the whole team of Aubrey🥹❤️This is such a small detail that costs nothing for the hotel or restaurant but which makes a guest feel special and leaves forever in the memory. This is what is called a personal touch and what makes success!
And above all, when we said thanks to Marti for this gesture and I mentioned that I know that was his job, he was humble enough to say that this was all team’s idea! Although I know who organized it! And this attitude - humble but so highly professional, with crazy love and passion to what he does and to all people who come to visit - is above all praises!! And I noticed he is the same with all gusts!
Thanks a lot for such people as Marti - hope soon he will make amazing career in the hospitality and restaurant business in Mandarin Oriental or wherever else - cause he deserves it!!❤️

Two girlfriends and I had amazing afternoon tea time at Cafe Causette last Saturday. The environment is just perfect for girls talk while enjoying the delicate and tasty tea set. The signature rose petal jam is WOW, what a good match with the scones. I think all girls would love it! The service quality of MO never disappoints us, such as greetings at the entrance, proactive assistance when they saw I was looking for something and attentive food and beverage service. Especially thanks to Charles, who took care of our table. Knowing that we were here for birthday celebration, he offered to be cameraman and helped us to take photos. That's a nice touch!

Due to the coronavirus, hotel prepared envelopes on table for all guests to put our masks inside. The hotel really consider what their guests need and offer before we asks for it.

We had a wonderful weekend stay with our 2 years old. Very warm greetings on arrival from the front desk staff. The room is neat, well maintained and decorated. Our little one was so amazed by the kids tent, the balloons, soft toys and Disney movies!! The in-room treats for the adults are also very impressive: premium Chinese tea and chocolate, and the traditional local pastries that are very difficult to find these days! Our little one just love staying in room. We also had great time at the pool. Staff there are very friendly, keep handing out water toys to us and helping us with drying and cleaning. We love everything at the hotel and will come back for another staycation shortly. You can feel everyone in the hotel is so well spirited even in such difficult times. Special thanks to our Guest Relation Manager Bonita for making everything very enjoyable and memorable!

my husband, myself and my 3 year old little girl stayed from the 3rd to the 4th of July for a mini staycation. We were very pleased to learn that we had been upgraded to a corner suite upon our arrival. A little corner with toys, story books, and princess DVDs were prepared for our little girl which was very thoughtful. We also noticed that sharp corners and handles within the room were all child proofed as well, which was also a very thoughtful detail that I really appreciated. The free inroom breakfast that was included was hearty and a delightful meal to wake up to in the morning. We were also able to extend our check out time to 5pm which was great for flexibility. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and the service was impeccable. We always have confidence in a Mandarin Oriental experience and this was everything we had wanted.

I spent my birthday at MO with my boyfriend few months ago. Within these months, we also had staycation at various famous hotels in Hong Kong.

*Service*
Staff members were all well-trained and professional. They wore smiles on their faces all the time and we could feel that the greetings were really from the bottom of their hearts. They made us feel super welcome. This excellent service even the most famous hotel (The Penixxxxx) could not keep up with.

*Dining*
We had dinner at Café Causette which was included in the staycation package. The food quality and portion were satisfied. Our waiter was considerate and he took care of our table very well. We also packed the desert (the signature cheesecake) and enjoyed them later at the room because we were too full.

The breakfast at Clipper Lounge was amazing. The variety of the food was very enjoyable. The dim sum corner was our favourite. When we almost finished our coffee, the staff members were proactive to check with us if we would like to have another one. Unlike the breakfast at The Penixxxxx, you could only get one cup of coffee while other customer may get two which depend on the staff members.

*Room*
The room was very clean. Bath salts were available and next to the bathtub which was great if you are bath salt lovers like us :D The rubbish bin in the room was a little bit small but there were housekeepers checked with us several times in case we needed them to take out the trash.

The most surprising moment was our room got clean and the bed was made after we finished the breakfast. The coffee capsules and toiletries got refilled as well. It was just like a brand new room.

*Overall*
Thank you so much for the efforts of the MO team! We had an amazing staycation at there,we even promised to come back in the future (We kept our promise and we are going back later this week :D )

We definitely recommend MO to anyone if you would like to enjoy the fascinating experience like us!

We chose the staycation package to celebrate the Chinese Valentine's Day. We stayed in the Statue Square View room, with large windows overlooking the city’s iconic skyline including historic Statue Square, BOC Tower and even the Victoria harbor view. The services are excellent provided by MO staff, who value each of your comment and suggestions. The dinner food are steaming and fresh, even through room service. Most impressive is the breakfast buffet at Clipper Lounge, with so many kinds of dishes to choose even under the pandemic.

We will choose the staycation package again if still available for sure and have recommended it to friends around.

From the big facade, you would never imagine how personalized the service is. Restaurant booking was arranged on the way up to the room and welcome drinks delivered 15 minutes later! The harbourview room is definitely a must if you’re planning to visit on leisure, we were lucky the weather was clear and the night view was stunning. Room service, breakfast at Clipper and lunch at Mandarin Grill were all great. I have been for Breakfast at Clipper as a non-resident during busier times and must say the team there never drop the ball. Breakfast variety is vast and fresh, we were happy buffet was available during co-vid and that guests respected the staff requests to wear masks and sanitize hands. Special thanks to the gentleman in charge of our section at the Grill, very helpful and honest when taking our order, as we were looking to experience Sunday roast on a smaller scale.

It has been a number of years since I had stayed at the MO Hong Kong, but we were greeted like old friends when we arrived for a short stay en route to a holiday in India in January. I have always been a fan (and a Fan!), but it was my husband's first stay. We also stayed again on our way home from India in late January. In short, both stays were perfection - if I could give 6 stars I would. From the moment we walked in the front door, the welcome, was warm, and genuine. In addition to the efficient and friendly reception staff, we were lucky to meet Ms Vivien Law, in charge of guest relations. Ms Law went out of her way to ensure that our stay was memorable (it was), that our room was comfortable (it was fantastic), and adding a number of personal touches that ensured we had a very special stay. The rooms have been recently renovated and are tastefully decorated, light, modern, and with everything you could want or need whether travelling for business or pleasure. The wifi is fast and reliable. The bathrooms modern, clean, and well stocked. There is generous wardrobes with lots of quality clothes hangers. We loved the binoculars on the desk, to watch the activity and the passing parade on the harbour. We had breakfast both visits at the Clipper Lounge - excellent ! And drinks in the M Bar at sunset were very good. This is a fabulous luxury hotel, but what sets it apart is the genuine commitment of every staff member you met, to ensuring that your stay is memorable - from the doormen and women, to the ladies tidying the area around the lifts, to the concierge and front desk staff. And of course, Ms Vivien Law, who embodies the spirit of the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. She is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel. Counting the days until we can return !

My partner and I booked this staycation last minute, our second one at this iconic hotel since April. It was, as always, delightful. Everyone was so polite and professional, and during these uncertain times, we felt very safe and everything was being sanitized frequently. From disinfectant wipes in our room, to temperature checks, optional contactless checkout, facemasks in our room - we felt reassured that everything was sanitized properly. The assistant manager, Ms. Vera Harrison and her team were nothing short of accommodating and a true testament of the Mandarin Oriental commitment to luxury. We will continue to come here and recommend to family and friends.

Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong has been famously classed with their outstanding service from long ago, never had I thought this legendary can be flawlessly carried on after 57 years.

I have reserved a Statue Square View Suite under Staycation by M.O. package on 15 August 2020 and how fortunate to receive a complimentary upgrade to one of the speciality suites which consists of a large bedroom with king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe and stunning marble bathroom as well as a living room and separated dining room.

What makes the stay remarkable is I had my own cake delivered to hotel but it melted due to the heat during travelling from Tsuen Wan bakery to Central. Ms Vivien, the Guest Relations Manager had taken the initiative to consult with the Pastry Chef Mr Paul who has worked magic on my cake and had it reverted back to what it originally looked like! And coincidentally we had a chance to attend his Dessert Class and had a fun time creating delicious chocolate desserts. After all, that fully explains why Mr Paul is famously endorsed and received countless awards and nominations. All these wow factors are invaluable experiences and proof that the MO Team has gone above and beyond to amaze guests.

We also had a great time in joining the Mixology Class, even the closure of M Bar does not failed the Bartender Ms Stephanie and Mr Slamet the Mixologist to charm guests with showing their impressive skill and extending knowledge on the history of MO signature cocktails professionally.

The night is ended perfectly with a bubble bath and rose petal prepared by Housekeeper Thomas, I’m already looking forward to celebrate the next occasion with the same setup in an oval shape bathtub!

In the end, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to three amazing ladies from Guest Relations Team for all their world-class services and effort, from first contact with Ms Bonita in consulting the birthday arrangement and decoration whom have extended a vast knowledge and valuable advice to beautify the suite that I booked. Ms Florence with a warm greeting and lending a helping hand during the room decoration progress even the whole day was very busy with number of guests that she needed to liaise with. Last but not least, Ms Vivien who had been taking care of my birthday cake the day before my arrival and ensuring all my requests have been flawlessly handled and eventually sent up the cake personally at the end of the day. And wrapping up the whole Staycation by receiving a fond farewell from Ms Bonita in the next day upon departure.

Mandarin Oriental does not require a membership program that classify member tiers to treat you more privilege the higher the tier you are, they treat all the guest as if VVIP and that is how customer loyalty has built spontaneously.

Look forward to coming back in every single occasion.
