Whenever in HK, during autumn and winter, I stay here. The overall service standard is very high and among the best. I like very much the discreet approach (people are there to service you but you do not see them). Rooms are clean and well equipped. Alle personnel is very friendely and efficient. Breakfast buffet is extensive and of good...

I have to confess that I don't remember how many times I stayed at Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, but every single visit is an excellent experience. Starting with the Door Man welcoming you and wishing very good business in town (nothing can demonstrate the soul of Hong Kong better than this); check in quick, efficient, culminating with someone kindly...

With my wife’s 12th and my 4th stay at the Mandarin it is easy to guess that we are fond of this hotel. Not because it is one of the landmarks in Hongkong but due to the facts that service is perfect, the rooms are great and in impeccable condition, the breakfast buffet is one of the best we know...

No visit to Hong Kong is complete without a visit to the Mandarin Oriental. Luxurious atmosphere, great service and ambience. Last night we visited the Captains Bar to say farewell to this great city. Loved it.

I am a regular visitor to the Mandarin for many years. It has never disappointed me and often manages to exceed my expectation . This is a hotel that really tries to anticipate ones needs. They remember all your past requirements not only in your room but in the restaurants and the bars. The staff really make a genuine effort...

This was our second stay at a Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the first time being in Singapore. We were again very impressed by the quality of service, attention to detail and also our accommodation. We would choose this hotel again.

I had really looked forward to staying at this legendary hotel, and whilst in many respects I was not disappointed, there were some areas that I felt left me feeling slightly short changed. Some of the service was beyond outstanding. Here, a special mention goes to concierge, Agathe. Newly arrived at the Hotel from Paris, she came to my aid...

Whenever we travel to Hong Kong we prefer to stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel only this time we wanted to celebrate our big birthdays at the hotel. In this we cannot thank them enough for making our stay such a memorable occasion; from the welcome upon arrival, to the rooms with a harbour view, to the execellent service throughout,...

To call the Mandarin Oriental the best hotel in Hong Kong is hardly a revelation, but it is true, and needs to be reiterated. Several of the better properties on Kowloon-side may believe they offer a comparable alternative, but location will always count against them (Kowloon vs. HK Island; not a fair competition). Apart from its location, the MO wins...

No doubt that this is one of the best hotels in Hongkong, but of course you also pay the price for it. And they charge extra for whatever they can. Like WiFi - it is just not appropriate in these times anymore to charge for WiFi (then they could also charge for using then toilet!). Breakfast for a 6 year...

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
