Old, outdated, and poorly maintained property. Like many other reviews, the ONLY scoring point for this hotel is the proximity to the airport. And they know about it and take it for granted!! If you must stay close to the airport, or need a layover but can carry your bags, go to Novotel or 2 other properties in the area, offering the same free shuttles and also close to the airport. At least they are newer properties. Too bad they didn't spend the last 3 covid years upgrading and renovating the hotel. I think this hotel gives a wrong impression about HK to visitors - so sad! Btw it cost HK$10/US$1.5 to print ONE sheet of paper 😡 . To highlight the "hold you by the balls" policy, it costs only HK$1 for a plastic bag in HK!
Outstanding service. Very clean and spacious rooms. Warm, accommodating staff. Walking distance to the airport so it is less of a hassle to move luggages especially if you were like us who stayed with a 4-month baby and a 5 year old. As a matter of fact, we were able to easily take all our 8 big luggages on the airport carts all the way to our room and we used the same cart on the way back to the airport when we checked out. All other attractions are an easy Uber/taxi/bus/train ride away. More especially, I would like to express my appreciation to your hotel lobby staff who were all very kind and went above and beyond to help us by providing us access to the lobby washrooms while waiting to be checked in and to a stable internet connection while we’re trying to rebook our flights. Being in HK for several times, we had not so pleasant experiences with other hotels but thankfully, this hotel’s service was a lot better than all of them.…
I had a 10 hour layover and needed a place to sleep and shower. A colleague recommended the Regal as I could walk there from the terminal thus making it the most convenient option. The check-in staff were efficient and friendly. The reception area was large and spacious; At 1.30am the best description would be shiny (I was so tired). I was on the 8th floor and as I walked from the elevators to the room, I felt uncomfortable. There was a light flickering in the hallway, the walls looked to be falling apart in some places with full on panels that were not installed properly. A sign on one of the doors said do no enter due to construction work and it was apparent the floor was under renovation so I’m not certain why I was put on that floor. The room itself was fine. Clean. It had an 80/90’s vibe. There were absolutely no usb outlets anywhere which in this day and age is odd but totally tracks for the style of room. The blue solution in the toilet was off putting. I did not sleep well because I was a little worried about missing my flight but also because I was worried there might be some type of construction noise or mishap (there wasn’t). I really did appreciate being able to have a shower in the morning tho. That was the highlight. So all in all, it gets the job done. Convenience is great and the staff were great. I would want to be on a floor that wasn’t under construction and I’d recommend charging up devices elsewhere.…
This was my first time stay at Regal airport hotel. I’m quite surprised the guest stuff wasn’t enough what my booked for 3 persons. And I need called 3 times to operate dept and front desk and waiting over 30 mins. Furthermore, inside the room so many things was broken like USB charge and electric plug slots. I think if not the position of hotel nearby the airport, I won’t choice the second night to stay !!! In addition, your business centre was closed during the pandemic period, that was the others surprised me. Due to I need print my PRC test result and eventually I need send to your hotel email and disclosed my private date !!!
This is my second time staying here throughout the years. It’s a convenient location, and easy to get to if you’re traveling again the next day through the international airport. Service is great. When I said the room is too cold and the temperature could not be controlled the thermostat, they provided a heater right away. The service is excellent and attentive.
Except the convenience of the location , this hotel is the worst four star hotel ever stayed . Staffs are arrogant and careless. Room had weird smell mind you I booked the deluxe runway view room . Facility is so old and room is freezing cold during the night , no Aircon . Food in red rouge (can't remember the exact name ) is the worst yumcha ever had in my entire life. So I wouldn't mind to go to Marriot next time even means has to get a taxi. Just a miserable two nights stay !!!
Easy check in and out, great location of course! Been here 4-5 times prior to Covid and I understand that business changes and the shuttle service to other regal hotels are not in service now…, Now that I’m in Hong Kong regal I wished I stayed at your hotel! See you on my way out in a couple weeks!
We stayed here many times, mainly after arrival and before departure. Can't beat the location. This time we were not expecting the usual standard as covid hits hard on the hospitality industry. Here only the bar and a Chinese restaurant were in operation and the provision in the room was extremely limited. However, we did enjoy our 1 night stay before flying home. The room was very clean and we had the best sleep in our two weeks visit in Hong Kong. The Chinese restaurant is another pleasant surprise, the food is so good, we definitely will go back again.
The Hotel does its purpose - transit hotel for one night - under the present conditions of Covid there are no service such as restaurant or other facilities available - The Check-In and Check-Out was carried out by friendly staff members.
We usually love to stay in this hotel because of it's convenience but after this stay we all vote not to stay in this hotel anymore. This hotel need remodel and change all their furnitures, the linens were old with holes, the bathroom need to update also! It doesn’t worth for what we paid!
