The hotel location was so convenient. You are in the middle of the eateries and shopping area. The staff spoke fluent English. The rooms was a bit dated but still nice and quite big
. The bed was comfy.

I am extremely satisfied on my three marvellous stays at the Regal Hong Kong Hotel, i.e. 2 weeks in Nov 2019 and 3 weeks in Jan-Feb 2020 during Chinese New Year.

This hotel is stylish and elegant with full of charm, both the building and the people alike. It has a luxurious location for unwinding, relaxation, and naturally for entertainment. The Hotel is perfectly located at Causeway Bay with many tourist attractions and shopping centres within short walking distance, including Times Square, Sogo Department Store, and plenty of specialty shops and restaurants. There are many beautiful winding streets around the hotel are on the doorstep and easy transport links from the hotel, such as buses, subway and trams. Just at the hotel front entrance, I particularly enjoyed taking trams, which is about 100 years old of transport, and it was a relieve to experience Hong Kong Island from east coast to west coast in a very relaxing and peaceful way. I could imagine the transition of Hong Kong from a rural fishing village in old days to a famous and important financial centre in the world when I was taking trams.

All my stays, check-in on Executive Floor was very smooth and efficient. My executive suite was clean, specious and the decor in keeping with the hotel. I particularly loved the seasonal fruit plate with a hand-written welcome card from the General Manager awaiting me in my suite! The bathroom is adequately sufficient, and it does have a good size bathtub with jacuzzi functions and a separate shower room. All the housekeeping staff work complementing being fast and with grace and attention to details. As a prestige Executive Floor guest, I really appreciated the lovely breakfast with wide choice to keep me going and wind down comfortably and relaxingly with tasteful wine and snacks in the evening.

The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home away from home to me. All respect for the General Manager, Mr Andrew Hickey, who does a great job here, a true experience of excellent hospitality! I am also very thankful for Jacky, Simon, Ben, Ada, Tina, Sherrie, Gigi, Melva, Ryan, Lilian and all other staff at Regal HK Hotel for the excellent services and friendly assistances during my three stays at this hotel in three months, which obviously added up to the experience. It is also very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel at the best location.

Thanks again for taking good care of me at all times. I hope to see you guys again soon. Cheers ^^

Stayed at Regal for 5 nights in Dec 2019.
Positives: Room and bathroom are fairly good size; bed is very comfortable; service is tentative; free shuttle to airport (sign up as member); location is very central (across from Sogo, surrounded by shopping and restaurants, 2 min. walk to Landmark)
Improvements required: Room furniture is quite dated (though clean and functional); hair dryer provided is very old and hard to use (connected to the wall with short wires); asked for iron and ironing board but they were not usable (the ironing board had no padding; you will press into the metal rods); though it's advertised as a 5 star hotel, the amenities are very basic

I will stay again due to the central location, big rooms, and good price. Will bring my own hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner.

If you sign up as a member of this hotel and book through the hotel website, you can get some discount to room rates.

I stayed at this hotel earlier in the week and would not consider staying there again unless significant improvements are made. In this most difficult time because of the pandemic, I would have thought hotel management would value business from every hotel guest. However I was wrong.

In summary, there were multiple issues with the stay.

I was declined a discount available to members notwithstanding I was a member. The problem arose when I tried to book a room reservation online on the hotel’s website and tried to enter my membership related information. However I was unsuccessful because the IT system did not accept the membership related information. Nevertheless I went ahead with the reservation (at a higher price) hoping that I could speak with hotel management after check in and things would be sorted out. When I raised the matter with the reception staff he referred me to a Mr Lee in Reservations. After explaining the background, Mr Lee still refused to honour the discount available for members. He felt that if the member customer did not properly provide the membership related information at the time of booking, then the member customer would be out of luck. The fact that it was a IT system issue and I was a member did not matter. It was a frustrating experience because Mr Lee just would not listen to the guest.

The room itself was not very clean because dusts had gathered in corners and edges. Cleaning staff had missed these areas in their cleaning. There might not have been guests staying in the room for awhile because of the pandemic.

There were no staff at reception or lobby area in the late evening when I returned to the hotel after work. Rather than minimal staff, there was no staff. One wonders if there is adequate security because people could head up to the rooms upstairs unchallenged.

In the morning a reception desk was set up to handle check outs, in an area which looked like where the concierge desk would normally be located. This area was surrounded and enclosed by glass. The normal reception area was not used. It was a sunny and warm day in July when I checked out. As the sun was shining in through the glass, it was hot and the sun was in the customer’s eyes. When I asked the lone reception staff why checkouts were processed in that uncomfortable area instead of the normal reception area, the staff said it was a management decision. I am not sure if management had really thought things out prior to moving the checkout location.

All in all, I am not impressed. Therefore I would not consider staying there again unless significant improvements are made.

A safe and relaxed staycation with family. Booked and Upgraded with double 11 promotion. 31F Lounge’ staff were helpful and cheerful, providing fresh and sweet fruit. You can make your own coffee and tea. However, the lounge only opens at 11am to 8pm. Better to extend service or allow guests to swipe their room cards so that guests can enjoy drinks in other hours.
Clean bathtub with blue bath salt provided. But the shampoo are big bottle ones that not allow to take as souvenirs 🤷🏻‍♂️ Other toothbrushes and comb are very good quality!
Shopping malls, restaurants are nearby , so convenient !

I stayed for a short break with my wife and upgraded to the Executive room. Separate check-in on 31st floor where the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Rooms was great with a good view over Hong Kong Victoria harbour, I was on the 34th floor. A rooftop swimming pool and gymnasium were excellent. The Executive room allowed use of the lounge where free drinks and food were available both in the afternoon and evenings, a free bar in the evenings for drinks was also very welcome. A free minibar in the room was re stocked daily and the room also had excellent wifi accessibility. The hotel served an excellent breakfast suited for both Western and Easter palette, and the buffet style was kept fully stocked with delicious food. The waiters and staff were also exceptional. Step outside the hotel and you are in Wanchai, a shopping hub, with trams, taxi's and buses on the door step. Excellent places to shop with large malls and small street markets for bargains too. A short ride from the harbour ferry to catch the Star ferry to Kowloon and also the ferry to enjoy the evening harbour tour to watch the light show. I will definitely come here again, great experience, fantastic staff, lovely room and if you upgrade to executive room you will not be disappointed.

Jacky and Chef. Matthew recommended us to try the lunch set and semi buffet at Alto 88, it was a great experience. I got the sea bass as main dish, seafood is really fresh and well prepared by chef! The smoked salmon is smoked by Chef. Matthew, it tastes really good! We enjoyed the nice view and delicious food at the restaurant, it is a perfect place to enjoy time with family, friends and colleagues.

The room fair enough tidied but long queuing was annoying. I am suffice on the hygiene facilitated by the hotel. Every patrons must scan the QR code for access and I had found the takeaway signage notice outside for food collection. The lobby installed plenty of sanitisers and plastic partition were uprighted at reception . In the midst of current virus battering moment , most of the facilities were suspended which tinged a bit disappointment to me . Overall content on every details especially the hygiene , cleanliness and hospitality postures tally to the brand .

we stayed here over the new years period from december 31st till january 3th.
We choose for a club level room, which had amazing views of the bay and the surrounding hills.

Check in was very fast on the dedicated 31st floor . We were helpend by Gigi, who gave us great recomendations for the area.

Over the next few days, Gigi and her coworker assited us with many suggestions and restaurant reservations in the area.
Even whe there were some demonstrations, the hotel staff was very accomodating in their service.

A big thank you to Gigi,Sherie and her team for making this stay amazing and memorable.
we will be back for sure.

The hotel and room are overall dated. Hotel lobby was hot and the check in area was temporary. Process was slow and the queue time was long even at 6:30pm. My room (twin) wasn't ready so staff offered an upgrade to 32/F room, which was a double bed, and was a bit inconvenient but was glad I had a room before 7pm. The room only had the basic and fridge was not working well. We needed ice to chill a wine we brought so we called room service but the phone was never answered. I had to go back to that check-in area and queue, again, at 8:30pm. There was no wine glass in the room as well even though the staff said there should have been. Since the hotel looked quite old, i really couldn't comment on the cleanliness of the room. However, there was some grease stain on the window (and it showed in the reflection when outside was dark) and the bathroom mirror wasn't very clean. The bathroom was reasonably clean albeit some rust stains near the amenity box. I did use laptop in the room and there was a redundant cover around sockets which blocked the space around the sockets making them unusable and I had to cut the video call short. Why I say it was redundant is that one of the sockets was used for the table lamp, so the lid of the cover can never be totally closed. In addition, the air con system seemed to have broken for the whole hotel. The room was slightly too warm and I couldn't adjust the temperature. The corridor and lift area had some weird smell. The 31/F area had some cooking smell. The lifts were hot and they were very slow.
