My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at Dorsett Seaview. It was convenient for us to get there from the airport. We took the skyexpress and the bus driver dropped us infront of the hotel. We had a deluxe double room. The room was a little small, but it was comfortable. The space was just enough for the two...

stayed there for a night. Found 1 bug crawling on the pillow during the nite, 2 other bugs were on the floor. I don't think it is bed bug, however that is still very unpleasant. Had a rash/allergic reaction to the unclean bedding on my hands. I complaint to the reception in the morning, they promise to have a look,...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We both found it clean, and good value of our money. It is better than other hotels in the neightboor, which we stayed at previously. My recommendations to the hotel are to keep up the cleanliness and the freshness of this place on a ongoing basis. There are too...

A nice place to stay for the price and location. Can take bus A21 from airport, HK$33 alight the 9th stop. 5 min walk to the hotel. From hotel to Yau Ma Tei train station is about 5 min walk. Easy to find food around the hotel. The room are not big but is just good enough for 2 person....

Room was so so sooo small. The double bed (ok size, but low to the floor) took up 98% of the room. However, the room was very clean, and the bathroom look remodeled recently. Complimentary (instant) coffee or tea in the room. Hotel located right across the street from the "temple market" and about two blocks from the famous Nathan...

This was a decent place to stay for the price, it was clean and a step above a hostel. The bathroom, although small, was great because the shower had good pressure and they provided tooth brushes etc. THe location was right next to the Night Market. I would reccomend this to someone wanting a cleaner place with privacy. If you...

I got this hotel at SGD58 per night from hotels.com which is a great steal. The location of the hotel is just next to Temple Street which makes shopping at night easier and faster to get home. Opposite the hotel has Xu Liu Shan(famous dessert chain) which closes by Midnight and a nearby Macdonalds(3mins walk) with free WIFI for 20mins...

I have stayed in this hotel twice. First during halloween 2009 and chinese new year in feb. 2010. The first time I thought of staying in this hotel, I was quite adamant because I quite use to staying in one of the hotels nearby. But lo and behold, this hotel is neat with a bigger lobby than hotels of its...

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
