We stayed at the Nathan Hotel in September 2016, spent 2 nights / 3 days. The Good:- Great location and close to shops and restaurants and markets. Starbucks in the actual hotel was a huge bonus as coming from South Africa, enjoying in a Star Bucks was a real treat. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Beds are comfortable and...

The hotel is very well situated in Nathan road with good access to the MTR and various attractions. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and well appointed (13th floor) Breakfasts were great, check in and check out very efficient. We used the tour desk to arrange excursions which was most helpful. We used the hotel transport for travel between...

The 4 of us stayed on a stopover on the way home from Europe. The family rooms are spacious and well appointed with an excellent layout. The highlight was the shower with lots of power and volume! Breakfast was ok. Only downside is the very thin walls. We were woken on morning at 5am by neighbours TV.

I have been travelling to Hong Kong for few times for vacation and stayed in different hotels before yet still think staying around Nathan road is the best choice ever. 1st time in this hotel, good location (walking distance to Jordon mtr), local food is available near the hotel and also local market is within walking distance. Please do expect...

This hotel is right in the middle of busy Nathan Road so finding shops and street stalls for eating was great. The room my son and I had was small and there was a lot of noise from the corridor (room 513). Cleaning left a bit to be desired as there was hair on the bathroom walls.

Excellent service from the concierge desk and brilliant location. Breakfasts were terrible and reminded me of hostel food. The gym was pathetic in every sense and the rooms are tiny but I guess you paying for the location

Pros: accessible location (easy taxi ride from the Kowloon stop of the airport express train, close to Jordan Station MTR, next to Temple Street Night Market), good gym (small but it has free weights and cardio machines), free use of a google smart phone, free wi-fi, spacious rooms (some rooms on 10th floor and up have balconies). Cons: breakfast buffet...

We've stayed in HK previously and the room size in this hotel is far better than both previous times. Staff were friendly, room was clean, amenities were great, close to MTR and Starbucks is just downstairs.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
