The hotel is out of this worldprice its price range. And, yes, I call it a hotel for I've had far shabbier treatment at hotels both in HK and other countries for far higher prices.

When friends recommended the “Y” to us, we were honestly a little sceptical about staying. We could not have been more surprised. The room was not over the top, but was well maintained and the bed & linens were of exceptional quality offering a great...More
Great place to stay. If you can afford it, the harbour view rooms are lovely! Also worth getting the breakfast deal as part of your package - the buffet breakfast is fine. Extremely central - walk, take the ferry or metro anywhere. Lovely places to...More
Dont be fooled by the YMCA name, this a great hotel in a fantastic location. Just 2 blocks from the ferry terminal in Kowloon and metres away from restaurants, shopping etc. Our room was large with a nice bathroom although this was a little on...More
Located right beside the Peninsula and with views every bit as good. A gem of a hotel in every way. Pay a bit extra and get a high-up harbour view suite. Don't be put off by the name: this ain't no crumby hostel!

Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also
contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

Hi, I had the same idea. From speaking to staff at the airport I learned there was no free shuttle to the hotel. If I understood them correctly the shuttle which you are referring to takes you to a train station. Whilst chatting to the staff at the airport I found there was a bus that does take you to the Salisbury (can't remember number) and it was cheaper than taking the train. Took a little longer but it was worth it. Bus stopped around the block from the Salisbury.
