Terrific staff. Clean comfortable room, but the Standard Room is a tight fit for 2 with luggage. Reasonable breakfast (but not the best!). Visit basement supermarket a few doors to the North for tea bags & milk if you're not bothered about jasmine tea! Tips: Take the A21 bus from airport (¾ hour) to stop 11, opposite the hotel. Ten... We had a very short time in Hong Kong between flights from Australia to London. We found this to be an excellent choice if you have a short time and want to see a bit of Hong Kong. We got the A22 bus from the airport and it is just a short walk to the hotel. The A21 also stops... More

Located next to Jordan Metro Station makes the access to and from Shamrock Hotel quite convenient. The rooms as with most of the Hong Kong hotels are small but comfortable. The Breakfast offered is good. The staff is also helpful. There is also a 7-11 store and McDonalds outlet near by. Overall its a good value for money option.

Our family recently stayed 3 nights at the Shamrock Hotel. This was our second time staying here. Like many Hong Kong hotels, the rooms are quite small, but are extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel is less than a 1 minute walk from Jordan Station so it is easy to explore the rest of the city from the area. There... More

My friends and I booked this hotel for 4 nights during our stay in Hong Kong. The cheapest way to get from the airport to this hotel would be to take the A21 bus at the interchange outside the airport. Takes about an hour or so but only costs HKD33. You'll arrive just opposite the hotel, can't miss it. Upon... More

Great Hotel in good location. Get off the MTR and its a couple of minutes around the corner. Signposted from inside the station so you know where to go. Good easy walk down Nathan Rd to the harbour. On the way is a lovely park to wander through

Location: This would be the main selling point. The exit from Jordan station is a stone's throw away. If you're the kind who likes to walk and soak in the local atmosphere, TST station is about 10min walk away. It is also 10-15min walking distance from the Ferry Terminal from which you can take a one-hour ferry ride to Macau... More

The rooms we were given seems to be newly renovated so it's really nice. Bed is really comfortable, good location, breakfast buffet included and is pretty decent. Service was pleasant from our experience. Would stay there again if I'm back in HK.

I don't understand all the hype about this specific hotel.. Hotel is near the MRT station in Jordan and is very convenient especially if you are traveling with children. Lots of restaurant to choose from just a few streets away. You can stroll your way down to Shopping area in Tsim. The bus to the airport is located just across the street. Service is very good. Although the room is... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
