The LKF is perfectly positioned if you want to be around Central area. They offer from small to larger rooms with all the bells and whistles but at reasonable rates compared to similar properties. The business centre had closed down but the lounge is available to sit and work in - note that it is open air lounge that allows...

Stayed here for 2 weeks whilst starting a job in HK. Very convenient and central, rooms a bit small but nice Chinese design. Nice open area Breeze bar on 4th floor, good for a morning coffee but its not a proper bar. Free wine there in the evenings. Got upgraded too high floor with city views, very nice.

When you read about "Great service", I feel like its a bit over rated, almost not worth mentioning. But I feel like I must give a shout out to thank Lan Kwai Fong Hotel for your superb service on our last day there. Basically my flight was at 1130pm, and I checked out at 11am to explore the city. Stored...

Initially a little disappointed with our room. It was smaller than we had been used to and it had an unusual smell. HOWEVER everything worked and the bed was comfortable. The unusual smell also disappeared! The breakfast was not great, served in a dining room that was not appealing, you would be better off staying on a room only basis....

Arrived, jet lagged, to be offered a choice of greasy bacon and Brussels sprouts for breakfast. There wasn't anything else left. Couldn't find stairs from level 1 to ground floor - despite asking several members of staff. Doesn't bode well for a fire..... Did find some stairs leading upwards from level 1. On our floor, this (the only fire escape...

Tastefully refurbished older building with an oriental touch. Nice indoor-outdoor lounge for chit-chatting especially during the hotel's generous happy hours! Very central location to get about. Comfortable beds, decent showers. Nothing to really complain about. But if I had to, it would simply be the throw cushions in the rooms could do with some dry cleaning. Would return to this...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Lan Kwai Fong hotel very much. We had a harbor view room on the 27th floor. It was quiet and the beds have good mattresses, both of which made for a good sleep. Rooms are small but functional and very nicely decorated in Chinese style. We had a minibar and a...

Well located hotel boutique in Central. An alternative of choice for your stay in Hong Kong. Small room with a stunning view over the Harbour (forth paying an extra to get the view; were at the 32nd floor). Close to the Lan Kwai Fong nightlife and walking distance (12 minutes) from IFC/Hong Kong train station to the airport.

I checked in at 1am expecting to get some decent rest, There was not even a receptionist when I got in. Somehow they checked me in - where I had to carry my own bags up to see a rubbish cramped up room with a red light. I asked for a bigger room where they gave me one with some...

The room was very tired but clean, had a corner room so not too small for Hong Kong standards. Photos on website are great but probably from the 90's, good location for getting around. Breakfast the first morning was great, second morning it was really bad, nothing left at 8.30 apart from some strange dish water soup like substance. Roof...

Dear Amanda, Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your valuable comment. We are sorry to learn about your breakfast experience. Our breakfast buffet is from 7am to 10:30am and we keep refilling all the menu items. We believe the soup you mentioned is probably the Chinese congee. This is hotel's 11th year and we keep on...

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
