Travellers' Choice
Nina Tsuen Wan West is a genuine Hong Kong landmark that presides over the Kowloon Peninsula’s Western edge. Standing between Tai Mo Shan mountain and the Rambler Channel, it was originally planned to be the world’s tallest building. However, its proximity to the airport flightpath led to it becoming the two sparkling sister towers of today. This Nina’s location is packed with appeal. Firstly, getting here is easy. It’s less than 20 minutes by road from Central, Tsim Sha Tsui is a 12 minute train ride, and the international airport is 25 minutes by the highway. So you see, it’s an efficient base from which to explore. But be warned, you may not want to leave.

I have been living here for almost a year and it is definitely a hotel nice for long staying. Room size is generous, house keeping service is good and facilities are comprehensive. Not to mention having quite some high quality restaurants in it. And I would like to thank 明香 and Ms 丁 especially for their long time excellent house keeping work which keeps my room clean and tidy such that I could stay here comfortably.

We visited on 30th June and the following day is 1st July. I expected long queues, wait for the room -- that is usually normal to the hotel - I can truly understand. We booked a big room that caters to 4 people. Prior to check-in -- I have given all the names of the people who will be staying in the room. Yet on arrival, we have to ask for extra towels, extra tea -- we were told that we cannot have the same TWG tea brand for extra 2 pax? they only provided for 2 teas for 4 pax guests yet they knew we were 4 pax and we paid for 4 pax booking. The room was not clean properly, the wall is dark, the floor is dark wood-- it was not relaxing feeling, as it makes you feel gloomy even the weather outside was sunny.

Managed to do the check in at 4:30pm to avoid the traffic, was told to go back after 30 minutes with a number card. Returned to the 41st floor after 50 mins and then queued for another 30 minutes! Was carrying three bags alone with some heavy stuff and was told to wait wait wait …….. the check in girl started the conversation ‘sorry for keep you waiting…’ but sorry that I really cannot feel the sorry but just a standard greeting…. For the room…. The bathroom has a weird design as the toilet door can hardly close with someone inside…. The pillows are too soft as well… All in all, I cannot experience any good service as mentioned by other reviewers…

This is my second visit YU for dim sum. I found the staff are welcoming, pleasant and attentive. The deco and atmosphere are nice and comfortable. The deep fried pork dumpling and prawn on toast is nice and not greasy. Pan fired Wagu beef buns is juicy. There are plenty variety on the menu too. I especially like the Jumbo dumpling fish maw in Supreme Soup.
