I quarantined here with my friends from February 2nd to February 6th. I understand this hotel is very cheap (even for Indonesian standards, I guess), but I did not appreciate finding hair everywhere from others in both my bed and in the bathroom. The walls had, what appeared to be water damage/mold. The toilet seat was old and disgusting as well. Now, I may be a bit bacteria freaked but I'd say that this was a definite low. I understand Indonesia has been heavily affected by the pandemic, but you'd assume running a "quarantine-hotel" would bring in some kind of revenue to at least clean the rooms properly. In comparison to other quarantine hotels, this is cheaper than most. Still would argue the bare minimum of cleanliness is expected regardless of how cheap it is.
Front desk was okay and 24 hours, the electricity several times off, the light in the room to doom, some spot in the carpet. first impression the location was easy to fond and was close to my venue, the receptionist very helpful.
Strategic place, near many main shopping places. Clean room. Need extra TV channel. Complete with small swimming pool. Breakfast is not too bad. Staff is very helpful. Fast WiFi. Walking distance to MRT and Grand Indonesia Mal
The hotel location is strategic, easy to go any where, near from the center of Jakarta (some ministries), the furniture has renew however need to improve about the air condition, some of it has been operating below the standard even we have settled it at 16 degree Celsius but the room temperature still warm.
The room was good, but need some improvement, I think the property is infested with mice, I can hear it that they crawl over the ceiling. Other than that, everything was okay, the room, breakfast, location were great. Also, staff are super friendly.
A comfort place to stay in Jakarta Pusat for family. The staffs were very helpful .. there are plenty of pillows to ease your sleep. For me to have 2 mosques within walking distance is a blessing. Will come again
I have stayed at the Grand Cemara several times. It is reasonable value for money and I get a room with a good desk for working. Like most hotels, the staff are pleasant but are not backed by any management. Ria, at the front desk certainly does try her best for the guests. Room maintenance is generally poor and it may take a day to get things repaired. Housekeeping is undersupplied with replacement towels and bathroom requisites, so its hit and miss if you will have sufficient towels etc … This is easily rectified with adequate and competent management. Breakfast isnt really worth the extra cost. There are many places to eat in the surrounding area. The hotel is well located and getting a taxi is generally a quick and easy business.
We asked for a non-smoker room but got a room for smokers. Smelled like you can expect. There was no view and outside the window was a building wall. No real daylight made it through into the room so the room was pretty dark and dim. The bedsheets was not clean (hair left from previous guest). When we told the staff they changed it and gave us a complementary dinner. Breakfast and dinner was eatable but below average. We didn’t get new water bottles or more toilet paper after the first day (we stayed two nights) so we ran out. No small towels for the bathroom. On the upside: friendly and helpful staff when asked. Pretty clean bathroom.
It is a comfort place to stay, nice, and good. The hospitality also the location is good. Thank you Vita and all the front office team who always supporting and helping me.And also the sales and matketing team.
