We stayed at the Ministry of Coffee for five nights while touring Jogya. While the rooms are somewhat small and dated, they are very clean, and staff extremely attentive. The room size really wasn't an issue as we spent most of our time in the Common area on the main floor. The breakfast was quite adequate and we looked forward...

We stayed 2 nights in MoC (standard room). The rooms are really tiny and hot - the aircon is not working efficiently. The decoration is quite poor and above all things, beds are not comfortable and the hotel is very noisy. But the breakfast is very good, they serve excellent coffee and pancakes, and the price is correct. So I...

Rooms are lovely, after the bustle of the Jakarta motels, Min of Coffee was a refreshing, clean and just nice change! Our room had a little balcony which faced the inside. It was great for taking the night / morning air, and a good for a read. Shampoo and soap was provided, toilets were clean. Our rooms were carefully cleaned...

It is a small cozy place... good place to kill time in hot slow Yogya. Service is slow (but again it is cultural). Wish that they were a bit more warm tho. Price is certainly over price to me for coffe and others in the menu. I stick with Via Via Cafee not far from this place.

We stayed here while we visited Jokja and really enjoyed it. I think we were here for about 3 nights total and its in a great location. There provide a great breakfast every morning, free wifi, there's a tv in each room (nothing in english though) and there is a nice spa across the street. The nicest thing was our...

Very nice and cosy atmosphere. We usually would have a meal at viavia and then head to Ministry of Coffee for one of their delicious coffee or shake, along with a sweet dessert. It was a very welcoming atmosphere, encouraging us to stay for sometimes 2 hours reading and enjoying it !

This is a nice & quiet place, but you better avoid the downstairs rooms that are dark , a bit mushy and more expensive. Upstairs you get a sunny balcony and also a room safe and you pay less too! The bathroom lights are like in a vault - that definitely needs to be changed! There´s WiFi and a PC...

We turned up after booking months in advance after reading all the good things people have said in here. We arrived to a luke warm welcome and paid a one night deposit. When shown to our 'deluxe' Java room it was incredibly damp and unventilated, and tiny. Quite literally it stank. They had internet (which took some time for them...

The location of the Ministry of Coffee is excellent. In the heart of the Jl Prawirotaman area of Yogya on the same road as some really good budget restaurants. It is just about within walking distance of Jl Malioboro - if it's not too hot to walk around! Quiet setting, above the large coffee shop, with refreshing features like a...

This is a nice place... actually that would be perfect with a swimming pool... and the price would be normal... as the rooms are spotless, the lobby is nice, breakfast really good, and yes, there is really good coffee!

“I was recommended by a friend about the place before who mentioned the best rooms are on the ground floor. I stayed on the 2nd floor and there might be rooms up to the 3rd floor though there isn't an elevator to get there. Be prepare to walk your luggage up the stairs even though the hotel people are quiet happy to help you with the luggage.”

“If you prefer more space, choose the deluxe rooms on the left side (there are only two). The other six rooms are kind of the minimalist type, but still comortable enough.”
