I stayed four nights at Pesona Artha. Everyone stays in one large room and shares a bathroom corridor. (However, there is a female only room as well.) During my stay I became quite close to other backpackers and we planned our trips to sights and landmarks together. We got our own personal driver (friend of the hostels owner). That way...

I think this is the best place to stay in Yogyakarta for backpackers. I was kind of surprised when the shared bedroom is right behind the main door but once i walked in, i started to feel comfortable in there. The room was air conditioned so it was really comfortable to sleep in. The bed was thick, clean and nice....

I booked this place for 1 night and ended up extending forthe rest of the stay in Yogya. This place has unusual setout and feels more like house than a hostel. Clean and cosy. Staff is super friendly and makes you feel like home. Had good conversations with them and a lot of tips for travelling. Owner is very kind...

The staff is friendly and they try to make you feel home atmosphere ..overall is good.I found that the owner too friendly. But, I don't think "a good way to keep good relationship with customer" is "too much talk about your privacy". Sometimes I really need space for my privacy (even in a simple room with cheapest price in the...

The staff is friendly and they try to make you feel at home. Coffee and tea are free :-) There was soap in the bathroom and even toothbrushes :-) I think the room is a little overpriced, since there is only cold water and no window. It looks more like a backpackers but with the luxury of a toothbrush (I...

Avoid the room outside as it was noisy because of the noise from the road. Not a good ventilation system in the room and bathroom. If you do not like spraying in the room, let them know 24 hours before checking in. The hosts were really friendly and kind, lots of invaluable information was given to us.
