- You will be taken care of from the moment you arrive at the airport. Reylan, our guide, assisted us with our bags, answered our questions, and gave us tips. We were given drinks and snacks before taking the boat to the resort. We were also given welcome drinks upon arrival at the resort. The staff serenades you when you arrive and when you leave. - Ben, our guide for the tours, was attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. The proximity of the resort to some of the best attractions in El Nido ensures that it’s not crowded when you go there. - They should update the activity guide that they email to the guests before arrival though. The staff at the reception should also coordinate with the tour guides as to what activities are available for the guests. - Plenty to see if you snorkel right in front of the resort. I also liked their heated swimming pool. - The food at the buffet was mostly delicious. I hope they consider starting it earlier though (from 7am, 12nn, and 7pm). I also hope they add more options to the snacks that you can order in between the meals. - The room was comfortable and clean but the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. They promised to look into it when we brought it to their attention. - They clean the room in the morning and provide turndown service without fail. - Internet connection within the resort was intermittent. - There was a lounge for El Nido Resorts guests at the departure area of the airport. We really appreciated it as the airport was crowded at that time. Overall, I highly recommend that you stay at Miniloc. It’s expensive but it is worth it.…

We loved our 7 night stay on Miniloc. The resort is 4* and it really is a very solid 4*. The setting is simply amazing, with the incredible cliff-face backdrop and the stunning view of the islands on the water. There's not much to explore at the resort itself, as you are hemmed in by the cliffs around you but we loved just taking in the beauty of the surroundings and taking things very slowly. We were never bored and we didn't even got around to covering all of the arranged tours. We stayed in a Garden Room, but in reality you're only a stones throw from the beach, a few metres back from the Beach View villas. We loved our room in authentic Philippine design. The resort arranges daily tours, we only did Tour 1 to the small lagoon and a few other small bays, but it was awesome. You are also free to take kayaks or paddleboards and explore on your own steam (which we did for the big lagoon and loved it). The proximity to all of the main highlights is awesome and allows you to beat the crowds travelling from El Nido mainland, a huge advantage as the crowds are numerous at peak times, with dozens of boats congregating. The staff and organisation were all superb, a special thanks to Roy who acts as a kind of maitre-d for the restaurant, but really does a bit of everything, and does it exceedingly well. We're avid divers and thoroughly enjoyed the 4 dives we did whilst there, the dive operation is excellent, albeit a little limited on # of local dive sites. All in all, simply superb!…

Our El Nido Trip was perfect! And it was because El Nido Miniloc Island Resort took really good care of us. From the ease in booking, payment, transfers, itinerary, and food. Our flight going to El Nido was moved earlier and with just one call/coordination between the airline check-in counter and the resort, our transfers were adjusted. When we landed in Lio airport, our guide was already there waiting for us. Resort check-in was a breeze and shortly after lunch, we were able to check-in. We are not a family of swimmers, but we felt safe and secure with the guides, every time. Special thanks to Ben, Andy and Roel! What we liked most : 1. The set itinerary/tour options and the expert advise of our guides when to take what tour so we wont be rushed. 2. The schedule of visit to the sites avoided the El Nido crowd from other resorts so we were able to really savor the beauty of the spots. We took our sweet time kayaking on the small and big lagoons, while listening to the birds and the water, with only our guide and a few other Miniloc Island Resort guests. 3. Resort staff are all attentive, warm, and welcoming. 4. Expert guides who are also great photographers! :) 5. Full-board meals. Tips : 1. Bring waterproof swimming bag for your wet clothes esp if you intend to swim on the day you are flying out. The resort does not have plastics due to its eco-initiatives. 2. Bring rubber slippers if you are the type to lounge around in slippers. What the hotel provides is a native indoor pair. 3. Bring your own water bottle if you drink often and during tours/island hopping. The resort provides though, aboard the boat, with applicable charges. 4. Kudos to all staff! Service is above and beyond. Special shout-out to our very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly tour guide ANDY! Despite our insecurities and fears Andy instil confidence within us. Negative comment: internet/wifi was very slow to NIL. Lunch and dinner meals need some improvement. Overall we had a great time and will definitely come back again.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Miniloc, so I’m giving the resort 5 stars. But the purpose of my review is to let people know who are travelling with young children that there are some things about the resort that are not especially child-friendly: 1. Buffet: delicious! But Breakfast doesn’t start until 6.30 am, dinner doesn’t start until 6.30 pm and there is a lack of snacks included inbetween meals. I would highly recommend bringing your own snacks, especially for the out-of-resort activities. 2. Rooms: Lovely, but the “family rooms” are just 2 rooms next to each other in a hut with no connecting door. I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting my kids in a separate room with no indoor access until they were teenagers. 3. Equipment: The resort does have mini life-vests and some beach toys, but limited small snorkels and no flippers small enough for children under 5. These details could have been better but we still had an outstanding time kayaking, swimming in the pool and enjoying the spectacular scenery. The staff are all wonderful as well - everyone went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. Thank you!…

Probably the best experience I’ve had in a resort. The wonderful location and the great scenery is just a cherry on top of the cake. What makes this resort great is the exceptional service of the staff and the top notch food from breakfast up to dinner. This place is really a nirvana on land and has to be visited at least once in your lifetime. I am looking forward to visit this place again hopefully in the next 5 - 10 years. It’s almost perfect as I have said. You would want to wake up early and enjoy the view but I just wish they could have given option for the rooms to have black out curtains (not all people are morning person like me lol). And I am not sure if it’s too much to ask but since the El Nido resorts group already has a dedicated lounge in the Lio Airport, I just wish they could have provided some snacks and refreshments in the lounge itself.…

This trip was supposed to take place last November. But due to weather conditions, flights were cancelled and so the resort gave us an option to rebook. So we took the trip April 1-4. We were traveling as a family and with some friends. And everything from start to finish was amazing. We were picked up from the Lio airport, then we took a short van ride to the jetty where we rode a big bangka for about 40 mins. to get to the resort. We were welcomed very warmly by the staff and our rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. There were no blackout curtains though. But I guess it was okay because we woke up early each morning. The food (included in the package), was very good. They had a wide variety of dishes and even though we had the buffet 3 times a day, the dishes varied each time. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Special mention to Kuya Ben who was the tour guide we used most often. The daily tours were well planned. You just have to sign up and choose a day before. The tour, by the way, is also part of the package. I like staying here because it is in Bacuit Bay, the most beautiful part of Palawan. I’ve stayed in Lio a couple of times before and it was wonderful too, but you still have to take a boat ride each time you visit the sites of Bacuit Bay. In Miniloc, everything is so close by. We had a wonderful experience at El Nido Resort. Hotel was perfect and private The staff was amazing and went beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We definitely recommend this place. Activities include everything worth seeing around the area. No worries if you can’t snorkeling. They will tech you and provide equipment. The staff pay paramount attention for your safety. We are not divers but this resort offers dip diving if you have license. The coral reef is beautiful. Swimming and kayaking are fabulous. Worth every penny. Special thank you to chef Jeric for amazing Philippine cuisine. Also special thanks to Marlon, Gladys, Anton and to everyone who made it feel like paradise.
