Powered by solar energy, rudimental toilets and cold water showers but... Lovely place to stay in Sabang, very honest prices for all services offered and super friendly staff. Stay here to feel at home in a remote corner of Palawan.
In all fairness I struggled with my stay here. I'm not the usual "backpacker" but thought I'd give it a go as an experience. I booked cafe sabang based on its fabulous reviews and knew what I was getting myself in for.

How do I put this.. There is no electricity in Sabang during the day, it's only possible to charge something at certain hours of the day, the wifi is 20 pesos per day and not very good, the rooms are damp and made our clothes...More

Just returned from Philippines - mainly jungle walking (birdwatching).
Mosquitos not a problem really - low numbers and deterrent worked (I always use Deet & never take malaria tablets because of the bad side-effects)
