We stayed once in Sofitel Sentosa last year. It was disappointing because there was a long queue at check in and we were late for our spa treatment, which was part of the package, and were not informed of the urgency despite us asking the staff at check in. We did not know the spa was a distance away and we ended up having to rearrange the slots. We decided to give the resort another chance as their service recovery was good. With a helpful concierge helping to contact the spa manager. And considering it was the start of the pandemic and they might have bene short of staff etc. The second visit for 3 nights in October 2021 was more disappointing that the first. We chose an upgrade to a Junior Suite as its more space for the kids. Upon check in, after bathing, the toilet got flooded. Hence we had to change room. They offered us an upgrade to a prestige suite for our troubles. The manager on duty told us 30 minutes and the suite will be ready. However, 2 hours later, we had not gotten our new room yet. I understand that it takes time, but a better hotel would have called us after 30 min to explain the delay. 2-3 hours in the afternoon for a family with young kids makes a difference as we have to plan their nap time. Upon contacting the manager, she offered us a high tea set as an apology. Again, appreciated the offer, but it seemed that she was busy and wanted to brush me off. Lastly, saw 2 cockroaches in our room over the course of the next 2 nights. Would not come back to this hotel again. The service, compound, quality, is not worth the price that we are paying. As a couple, maybe, but for a family with children, Sofitel does not get it right. We have been to Shangri La a few times, and regret that we didn't choose it as our destination this time round.

Hi. Family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed in a prestige family suite for 2 nights. Good size for 4 of us. Hotel is nicely secluded and the staff are friendly. Breakfast at Kwee Zeen on 2 days was ok. Enough variations of food types and service was fine by the busy crew. Short Q to wait for tables. Pool was warm so the kids had a blast and hotel team was on top of the covid restrictions. Enough beds and chairs to suit the restrictions. Only disappointment was the Cliff. Having had great dinners in the past (many years ago) this time dinner was not great. Squid ink pasta didn’t have strong enough taste. Octopus sauce overpowering. Pizza was good. Dessert was average. Avoid the “Extravaganza holiday sundae” at 28sgd. Too much whipped cream, biscuits and Rice Krispies! Expensive for what we had. Overall around 3.5 out of 5.

Great experience at Sofitel Sentosa, we had our solemnisation at the Spice Island View (outdoor venue overlooking the sea), 8-course dinner reception at the Straits Ballroom and a 2-night stay at the Prestige Suite. Big thanks to Veronica for overseeing the planning, as well as her colleagues Thomas (banquet IC), Guna (AV) and Chef Mao for making the day smooth sailing, especially in the midst of COVID-19 (we had to postpone our wedding once due to P2HA, but Veronica was very understanding of the situation and helped us to postpone everything to a later date). Highly recommend!!!
