Nestled in the tranquility of Sentosa, the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa garners praise for its exceptional service, with many guests appreciating the staff's dedication to creating a memorable experience. The hotel's cleanliness and strategic location near beaches and attractions are also highly regarded. However, some visitors feel that the steep prices for on-site offerings detract from the hotel's value. While the atmosphere is celebrated as elegant and peaceful, there are occasional remarks about the need for updates. Despite this, the resort's extensive amenities, including a lavish pool and diverse dining options, are popular highlights.

Absolutely loved our stay here. We always loved this hotel over the last decade of living in Sentosa. We would come often to Le Bar and Cliff but never stayed.

It did not disappoint. A true holiday vibe with a lovely rustic charm. The best part of the stay was undoubtedly the staff who we encountered.

Specially gave us absolutely exceptional customer service. He was professional and delivered outstanding customer care.
As did every single member of staff at the Kwee Zeen Seafood buffet and breakfast.
Micheal (I think) one of the porter/concierge assistants was so so lovely and helpful with our luggage. Please if I have mistaken his name, he comes in everyday from near Puteri Harbour on his bike. He was just so lovely.
Our room attendant was also excellent and I believe was Ella or Ellen. Apologies.

Staff at Le Bar remembered us and were also amazing. Happy hour is good. 😊

Food is great at breakfast and a huge range. The location is incredible and my fave activity is walking round and round Sentosa seeing all of the wildlife, especially the Hornbills who were also in
The hotel. So many beautiful peacocks roaming around too.

We already booked to come back in November (we now live in KL) we were coming for 3 days but we have amended our booking to 6 days because it’s a true holiday feel at this hotel.

We loved being able to park our car round the back near our room lol! Would
Prefer a higher room as there was a laundry lorry outside pretty early. It didn’t bother us too much though as it’s a peaceful place and we got a lot of sleep.

We came to see Miss Saigon at MBS and we will return here everytime we come back to Singapore, which will be often.
Excited for Sentosa Raffles to open to add to the options available for bars and dining as it’s adjoining.

The hotel is still surprisingly quite busy even though it’s still phase 2 in SG. Gone are the priority checkin for Accor members. Everyone will have to queue:( So much for being a loyal member). Breakfast was always chaotic in Sofitel Sentosa but during this time, it’s actually pretty good as your food is served to you. Quite a peaceful experience. Just scan the QR code to see menu to order. The menu for lunch and dinner are all the same now regardless if you are in Kwee Zeen or Cliff or Le bar. That means you can pretty much sit anywhere to get the same food. The gym building has been demolished (near So Spa) and a temporary gym is located near Cliff restaurant! There is a staff stationed in the small gym and he will clean after each session (good but quite uneasy with a staff stationed inside at all times) Our favourite restaurant The garden is closed permanently:( Hope something good will open soon. Thankfully the So Spa is still there, though the orchids there died and the mud bath dried up too:( I noticed there is also no more beautiful orchids in the suites too...sad. No more Lavin or Hermes toiletries as those has been replaced by a clinical standard plastic packs with the rest of the amenities. The Sofitel bedroom slippers has been replaced with cheaper standard white slippers. Sanitizer spray and hand sanitizer are provided The suites also starting to aged. The room we stayed also has water leaking into the floor:( We requested a change of room. Generally still a good hotel amidst challenging times. So the general feel is really has luxurious. Times are bad and cost cutting measures i guess.

This was a much better stay that that in June 2021. The June stay was marred by a lot of unhappiness over their service quality including in-room dining service taking more than 70mins to arrive (though the standard turnaround time stated in their response when ordering was half an hour to deliver), made worse with missing items, such as bacon missing from the American breakfast and scrambled eggs turning up instead of the sunny sides ordered.

This round we also saw a lot more staff in the compound than the previous stay so it is good to see the hotel pulling up their socks after hearing from guests. Perhaps an area to work on is that out of 10 staff that the hotel staff saw us, only 1 of them greeted us. This probably pales in comparison to some of the other top tier hotels.

The increased staff strength also resulted in an improvement in areas such as the OneTouch hotline. While it took nearly a minute before the phone was picked up, at least somebody picked up the phone as compared to my experience in June. Having said that, hotels such as Shang and Mandarin Oriental took less then 10 seconds for the operator to pick up the phone, so this is definitely an area that Sofitel should continue working on.

The phone handset I had in my current stay did not stink so perhaps their management read my comment for the June stay and changed all their phones or at least sprayed some refresher.

We have stayed at this hotel for at least 10 occasions and our room always come with a bathtub and separate standing shower cubicle so we were surprised to see that the room of our current stay did not have a standing shower cubicle. This posed a challenge during bathe time as we have a kiddo with us. Also the room appeared much smaller than the previous rooms that we have stayed in.

We would like to commend Li Ming of the housekeeping team for doing a great job and presenting us with a towel elephant.

Sofitel also did a minor renovation of their swimming pool which will definitely be welcomed by guests as it now looks cleaner.

Food wise, the Cliff was a good choice but Kwee Zen could do with some improvement. During the dinner buffet, 5 out of 5 mussels were unopened so I am concerned on the quality of their supplies.

As an Accor Plus guest, I noted that their welcome drink list has shrunk until there is no longer any cocktail on the list, so it appeared that cost cutting measures have been prioritized over customer sataisfaction.

Overall I will give the current stay a 4 stars rating. With more new hotels coming up in Sentosa, the Sofitel probably has to do better to secure its footprint. We will be staying at the newly opened Oasia Sentosa next month so it will be interesting to see how these 2 hotels fare in comparison.

We booked an unexpected trip to Sentosa having our travel plans curtailed due to COVID-19. We chose the Sofitel brand on the back of others we have stayed in globally. Firstly the good. Sentosa is not large and the hotel is well positioned above the Tanjong beach which is easily accessed (130 steps!). The rooms are similar to other Sofitel's with comfortable beds and well thought out facilities. The pool is very nice although we caught the school holiday break and a number of locals were on staycation, so there were rather too many young kids! We had selected and paid a premium for a garden view, which turned out to be a car park view! When i asked the reception, I was told all garden view rooms were the same - so there was no improvement available. i think they should change the description! This service attitude continued throughout our stay, which we reduced from 6 days to 3 after the first 24 hours of poor service. After checking in we went and sat at the bar and after 40 minutes of waiting i asked if it was possible for a drink and, after a sigh, the barman served us! Over the 3 days we had to proactively ask for drinks, menus - everything seemed a challenge. Another example is that i used a toilet by the restaurant in the evening and noted that they had run out of soap (rather important at the moment), so i took a detour to reception, who rather than thanking me for bringing the matter to their attention, told me that i should have not used that toilet. There was no signage or indication that this facility was out of service and the only issue i spotted was there was no soap! At the poolside i asked for a Gordon's gin but was told he had run out. When i asked if it was possible for him to get it from the main bar across from the poolside bar, it was a real effort to achieve, with an expectation that i should pay for a premium price brand. The only staff we found interested in providing any service was the concierge. It's a real shame that a brand of this standard where previously i have had faultless experience was let down by the Sentosa team. That said, the overall service attitude in Sentosa was much the same everywhere we went in our 3 days there, and our feelings probably influenced by where we had come from (Vietnam and Cambodia) where service was world class. Interestingly we spent the next 5 days in the city and service was the usual excellent standard i have historically experienced from Singapore. These are testing times for the hospitality industry, but service is key for maintaining your reputation.

This is not the first time we stayed at this resort but is definitely our last!

The crowd control was terrible! We booked the pool for 5pm slot for 3pax few days in advance. When we were there at 5.15pm, there were still so many people there, wearing wrist bands from earlier timeslots. People who overstayed their timeslot. There wasn't any deck chairs available.

There was groups of people gathering together in the pool in huge numbers! We saw groups of 8, 10 and even 12!! Definately more than the 5 person allowed under the Safe Management Measures!People who are not swimming or eating are NOT wearing masks!! This is definitely an violation of the regulations! STB, please review their safe distancing measures! We definitely don't feel safe at all!!

What is the point of requiring guests to book for the time slot when you are not able to manage the crowd and the other guests who overstayed their timeslot. It does not make the guests feel safe when there is a jungle of people down there!

To make things worse, the staffs are rude! When i asked one of them where can i go, he just pointed to the pool and said: "First come first serve! You just go there and hang around!" Its terrible! Seriously, are we at a public pool?

If guests are given 2hrs timeslot to use the pool during this Covid19 period, we can all understand. You guys can go around the pool 15mins before the end of each slot to remind the guests politely to vacate the pool so that you can clear and clean up the place for the next batch to enter.

The food at The Cliff was terrible! During lunch, the roasted chicken with Himalayan salt tasted like chicken that was left overnight. The meat does not taste fresh. It was tough and from the colour and the texture of the meat, you can tell it was not prepared fresh.

The fish we ordered during dinner had a really strong fishy smell and taste. However, a great shout out to Jason, who came to check on our food and was so willing to change to a seabass for us! You are the only friendly service worthy of the brand Sofitel throughout our stay!

The breakfast was mediocre and nothing to rave about.

Some good points that I like to highlight.. the checking in was fast. And we really appreciate the early check-in at 12pm. And also the option to do a contactless express checkout.

The thing is, I am not a person that easily gives bad reviews to any hotels and resorts. You can check all my reviews history. However, this staycation experience that we had was really bad. We chosed a premium brand to stay in and what we got was a 3star hotel experience!

Booked a 4D3N staycation at Sofitel Sentosa through luxury escapes.

1) Overall, the resort is very dated, very old, and definitely needs a lot of sprucing up. The attention to detail is definitely not there in terms of cleanliness (carpets were stained, outdoor furniture had bird poop on it, the sun tan beds near the poolside were stained and looked so disgustingly dirty, walls are not clean, etc). It felt so unclean that I had to sanitise everything in the room before feeling comfortable.

2) The resort is going through a bit of a renovation so the spa and gym was closed and if we had known this, we would not have chosen to stay at the hotel. In this sense, we did feel a bit blindsided by the luxury escapes and the hotel.

3) Experience was anything but 'luxury'. We were given physical paper coupons to present at the restaurant for our meals. Is this not the 21st century we're living in? Could they not just use a digital coupon if they really needed to issue us with coupons?

4) We were notified on our 2nd night of stay that there was going to be a fire alarm at 2pm the next day. It did not state how long the fire drill was going to go on for. We arrived back at the hotel at 4pm and realised that all power was cut off and was going to go on until 5.30pm. We stayed in our room without air conditioning or power until 530 and the power was still not up then, and the fire alarm kept ringing. Called guest services and they said they were not sure how long the power cut and fire drill would go on for. It was a nightmare in terms of communication to guests and a very unpleasant experience. The hotel did try to make up for it by presenting 2 very miserable macarons in our room with a note that they would be extending late checkout till 6pm the next day - honestly, not much of a saving grace as all I'd wanted to do was leave.

5) Service standard was really poor the entire time we were at the resort. The service staff at the bar or restaurant were really bad and not friendly at all.

6) The food at ALL of the restaurants (Lebar, The Cliff, and Kwee Zeen) was just downright not value for the amount we paid for. Food was not bad per se but average and the price was way above average.

7) The pool was so underwhelming (it was very murky, old, and very dated).

The only positive experience was that it had direct access to Palawan beach and was near the Sentosa shuttle stop.

Definitely expected more out of a Sofitel brand. If I had only paid SGD150 per night for this stay, I would be satisfied with the standard and experience I had. Definitely not worth the price at all.

We stayed over the weekend. Our check in was delayed because we were told that the room was not ready even though it was past 4 pm. We were surprised they told us the room was still being cleaned. We thought rooms are being cleaned and aired for one day before next occupant come in . In return they gave us complimentary drinks and late check out at 2 Pm.

The room looked dated and like regular hotel room. We don’t get the sense there were special attention given to sanitising the rooms. We had stayed in another hotel recently and their towels came air packed.

The staff service was also below par. At breakfast, they appeared to have been overwhelmed and not so well trained. We ordered an American breakfast and the main course came but they didn’t provide any utensils or napkins. We had to ask three different staff to get the utensils . The bread basket and fruit platter came later.

In the afternoon , we also asked for mosquito repellent from staff and we were told they ran out. When we asked if they could buy them, the staff came with some excuse about stock taking etc etc. We had dinner at the Cliff. It was nice and service was acceptable.

Overall , we feel it wasn’t value for money . We paid close to 600 dollars per night but there was nothing memorable and exceptional to justify that price tag. Perhaps it was the covid crisis and we had no choice but all become price takers.

Overall, was a good stay but I didn’t feel my Accor Gold status had any difference to other normal guests. The price is also higher than previously before Covid-19 but I didn’t feel the service had a difference. The Cliff dinner experience was not as good as previously and the room’s pillows were just too soft for a good night rest.
I was however impressed with the carepack that the hotel provided for guests in the room which contained sanitiser, wipes and tissue.

1. The hotel’s commitment to provide quality service could be felt from the moment my room reservation was confirmed to the moment that we had checked out from the hotel. Though my reservation was affected by SHN issues, Sofitel was able to resolve it without causing too much inconvenience to us and that was assuring.
2. The staff was friendly to explain the check-in & information. It was completed as a breeze. Feel honour as a Accor Gold member to be given a late check-out and was assigned to a room that was upgraded with the garden view. The room also met our requirements and is the same as shown in the website picture. With the present convid climate, we felt assure that we would be safe in the hotel premises.
3. Complimentary fresh fruits and chocolates were also provided. Thumb up👍. A vase of beautiful fresh flowers would be preferred. My opinion is to remove the photo of the lady’s face that is hang on the wall.
4. Pleasant and enjoyable meal at Kwee Zeen, Le bar but not so pleasant at the Cliff restaurant. All restaurants has limited choices of vegetarian food and we are puzzle that a five star hotel restaurants do not cater variety of vegetarian meals. Wish to have more vegetarian dishes. We also felt the background music that was played at the two restaurants except Le Bar were somehow did not blend to the ambience.
5. We didn’t get the housekeeping to clear and clean the rooms after the first night stay and the housekeeping staff called and checked if we required room cleaning service and top up any items in the evening. It was a warmth gesture.
6. It is easy accessible to public transports and shopping malls from the hotel using the free hotel shuttle bus service.
7. Overall nice stay at hotel and only setback is somehow hotel loses the human touch.
8. Accor plus members were not able to enjoy the dinning benefits due to blackout period. It was disappointing.

Being a seasoned traveller and resort addict, I realised I was guilty of becoming harder and harder to please but Sofitel Sentosa never fail to surprise and amaze me and got us coming back again and again

We were blessed with a limited edition suite at the Tranquillity wing. The suite was nicely upgraded again and you can feel the passion of the hotelier with all the attention to details. Look out for A bronze shark staring at you from one of the glass panel while you are in the shower; so cute but it also acts as a hanger for your bathrobe. I also noticed that someone had made effort to die cut “ I am Singing in the rain” on the bathroom frosting sticker.

While other hotels have dreaded signs of warning their guests with words like “Stay Safe” this resort uses such clever uplifting slogans like “C’est Chic To Care” “Clean is the new Chic” how clever and sweet. These are attention to details that tells of great people behind a successful resort

Every member of the team from front desk to the bell hop or Heme from The Cliff - we can feel their passion, professionalism and dedication. The wise saying goes: A good leader develop ideas, a great leader develop people. Everything in this resort points to having a good GM ! Congratulations Mr KUPIEC Piotr, Well done!

Being Accor plus members and we were given complimentary late check out, welcome drinks and dining at The Cliff , we were given 50% off which makes it cheaper than if we had gone to any Italian restaurant at Vivo City!. The pizza and pasta were to die for.. It has been more than a decade since we bought the membership and never hesitate to renew it year after year.

WE highly recommend this resort and for us... we are definitely their fans for life!

Prestige Family Suite is recommended for your family size. It comes with a living room with sofa bed and separate bedroom. Whereas Prestige Suite may not be able to accommodate 4 persons comfortably. Hope this helps.

Hi just to clarify, it's not the cable cars. It's the Sentosa Monorail or Sentosa Express. This monorail is more convenient way to travel around Sentosa. The cable cars are a different thing altogether, it's a ride mainly to enjoy the views, not to get around Sentosa. For more info, search Getting Around Sentosa. For reference, Universal Studios is at Resorts World Station and Sofitel Sentosa is near Tanjong Beach.

I think you might be able to get more help if you could give a ring to the hotel directly to get help with the reservation as the online room options might not always be the best fit for your needs. I had some trouble understanding the online room descriptions as well when I was booking so called the hotel directly and they were great in explaining the options and room configurations to me.
