This is a no-frills accommodation, but the price doesn't reflect that. I stayed here because someone fell sick and had an unrefundable booking, and the hotel kindly allowed me to take the booking over (which we appreciated, but really, the price paid was not worth it). Increasing your budget just slightly would get you a full service hotel where you would get housekeeping, someone who would answer the phone, possibly check-in on the time stated....at a much better location. Unless you just plan to sit at Siloso Beach with no plans to move around, this is really not the best option. Be prepared to walk a good way to Beach Station as the beach tram would be packed during "peak" hours (lunch/dinner/check-in/check-out times). You get 2 big towels if you're lucky (I read that some people had to go beg for towels from the pool?). The tub is and fixtures are quite nice, but that's about it. For the deluxe room, the wooden-door shower (thankfully, wooden, as there was an accident involving a shower glass door that broke all over a guest recently) is tiny. If you're slightly plump, I doubt you could fit. Expect insects too, as you'd be in the middle of a jungle. The pool seems to be the main draw, and to be very frank, as the lifts are public access, anyone could simply walk in and use it on the 5th floor. Getting to the hotel also is a chore by car, and forget about driving as you would never get parking unless you're coming at 12am. Reception is in tiny hut on the 8th floor away from the main resort area. It would be a cool, chalet-like experience - if the price reflected that. Tip: The pool is on the 5th floor, there is a rooftop you can access to get pretty nice pictures. You can access the hotel from the beach by going through the cafe, no one will ask or care if you are a guest. Illegal guests are easy to sneak in as there is no checking of any sort being conducted on the ground floor. Also, I did not see any public access toilets, except on the ground floor behind the cafe. I doubt that they will take better care of you even if you get a more expensive room. Once you get your key, all the best in living with whatever you've got. They are nice people, but simply very stretched (I think).

The rooms ( we rented 3 rooms for the Birthday celebration ) are a little bit small for families. Room interior designs and setups look tired and outdated. The exterior and swimming pools are more attractive especially the swimming pool with a waterfall which attracts all my grandchildren jumping around for hours. They enjoyed it very much. For swimming, we also went to the beach to relax under the sun on the sands and the beach is just so near. Overall, it's really a good staying venue for swimming. However, do not think of ordering any celebration cakes ( such as Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation........) as the hotel WOULD NOT request their coffeehouse to make for you at all. Remember to bring your own cake for any occasion even the cream on the cakes may be smashed...........................

Horrible services . All they are interested is in quantity.. and have a zero quality .. With such a huge resort .. they should have ample staff atleast to cater to the services . We stayed for 2 nights and 2 evenings at 4.30pm we were told that the staff has gone for dinner and hence we cannot be provided with iron or any other supplies in the room .Also to mention I had to call reception/room service atleast 10 times to get this answer. After paying such exorbitant room rent , if this is the quality u give .. then it's a shame on the behalf of the management. In a separate incident.. for all the 3 days we stayed .. we weren't given towels and had to run to the pool to get their pool towels cause they were supposedly out of stock for towels . Even when we checked in .. room did not have any towels . We were to be given pool /garden/ beach view but all we got was blank wall view ( Room no 630) , and were obviously given a standard reply of rooms not being available 🙄. Hotel has not bar .. not even a proper restaurant to sit and eat . Will never recommend the hotel to anyone ever . Please don't spoil your holiday

This resort is amazing. Beautiful rainforest setting with a gorgeous pool and right across from the beach. My deluxe room was perfect, and I’m so happy I booked my short staycation stay at Siloso Beach Resort. Special shout-out to Rush (I hope I got the name right), who was super helpful and customer-friendly. Thanks for a very memorable stay :)

The hotel is stunning, full of nature plants and animals. We had lots of fun listening to hornbills, watching geckos run about and being with the nature. It's good value for money and our room was upgraded for our honeymoon stay. The info guide said we needed to book time slots for the pool but this was not required, every night we would go down to the pool about 9/10pm and have the whole place to ourselves. We would sit in the lovely hot tub and relax, listening to all of the nature sounds around us. This was such a lovely special time for us, to just be alone with the nature and we were generally undisturbed, sometimes other guests would come down for a swim but the hotel was quite quiet and peaceful at this time. The pool is beautiful and there is no horrible smelly chlorine, it's natural spring water and a lovely temperature even at night thanks to Singapore's beautiful weather. The room was large, spacious with great shower. The view was so incredible that we didn't once close the blinds, every morning we woke up to the stunning view of the rainforest and siloso beach in the distance from the large window. The free shuttle bus stops right outside the hotel, we got the free monorail from vigo city and this was easy to navigate, even with luggage and after a 14 hour flight and MRT from the airport- harbourfront. Lots of the staff have special needs, which is great to see inclusivity, everybody did their job very well. Everyone was happy to help with anything needed and they were always around to help, ie when we needed some assistance with the safe. Wifi is excellent Cleanliness is excellent Restaurant is excellent Staff were excellent View from room 715 is excellent Best hotel we've stayed in, we were very sad to leave One small thing is that the hotel prided itself on being eco friendly, with no straws and using spring water etc. This was great, we love being eco friendly, but we found it confusing to find plastic water bottles, toothbrushes and miniature toiletries in the room. These were great to have, but sends a mixed message on an eco resort due to it all being plastic. Maybe they are working on an alternative, but all eco steps are positive and make a difference. Overall this hotel is 10/10 No pics of hotel on my phone, but pics of local area included

The check in experience was the worst. During check in I had 4 bags and a stroller but there was no one to come help with unloading and picking till the reception counter. The person at check in was not friendly. Please train them to atleast smile once in a while. We had 2 small kids, one 2.5 year old and other just 4 month old. But there was no arrangement for kids and my wife to be seated till we get our rooms. Both the kids were sleeping. Room was very poor. There was a lizard in the room at night. We had to call maintenance to clear it at midnight. Bathroom was small and not enough with facilities. Service was slow. Food was pretty average. The cutlery was dull and old at the restaurant. Very few option for Veg breakfast. Property was not maintained and needs renovation for a big time now. Staff was short. Only positive was its location at siloso beach. And they employ specially abled people in staff. Which has its own drawbacks for guests but its a social service I appreciated. Was giving 1 star for the overall experience but these couple points makes it 2 star.

What a scam! hotel check in time should be 3pm. They asked you to sign a form upon check in which includes a ridiculous term - check in is available from 3pm ONWARDS. Then the room would become never available and all they do is ask you to refer to the form you signed which no hotel would be possibly do so to their customers. Of course, they gave keys to those angry customers who shouted at them. Very bad experience

This wasn't exactly a cheap hotel, I think I paid about USD180 a night on a weekday in an off-peak period for a staycation. It's marketed as an eco resort built with wood detailing in a natural forest-like setting. I would imagine that the hotel was gorgeous when it was new, and I do like the concept (which is partly why I booked it), with the structure built around the original trees so that some of the balconies actually have a tree trunk of the oldest trees growing through them. The natural spring waterfall, swimming pool and jacuzzi are possibly the only nice features of the hotel and are well blended into the landscape. This is perhaps the only part of the hotel which sort of lives up to the photos, although the land area around the pool is so narrow that there is no space for any sun loungers, and instead they provide upright park benches (lined with a weird brown styrofoam!) to put your things on or sit on, but swimmers are not able to lie down and sunbathe. There is a very small sun deck on one end with maybe 3 or 4 deck chairs on it which you can sunbathe on but it is really inadequate, especially if the hotel were busy. External walls all had paint either fading, covered with green moss or peeling, any wooden decking or cladding of the hotel (of which there is a lot given it is an "eco-hotel") was not maintained and fading or chipped. The wooden table in my room was infested with termites, with the mound of termite shavings below it getting bigger by the day (which the cleaners did not clean for the duration of my stay). I emailed to hotel after I left to advise them about it and to send in the exterminators, but they didn't even acknowledge my email let alone apologise for the state of my room. Because of COVID, the hotel was serving room service in takeaway containers, but to save costs they used polystyrene boxes and plastic cutlery, carried to rooms in nasty non biodegradable plastic supermarket bags. Worse still, guests would leave the discarded boxes outside their rooms in the corridors, which the cleaners would take maybe half a day to remove. Staff appeared to be completely indifferent, allowing guests to hang their wet towels and laundry over the corridor banisters to dry. It was shocking; underwear, bras, wet towel, all hanging outside people's rooms as you walked past to get to yours. Next, in order to get down to the pool, one could either take the lifts or walk down an external flight of stairs (quicker) which had not been cleaned in ages and were littered with cigarette butts and other rubbish, it was really disgusting (see photos). The final straw was when I discovered the electrical box inside the wardrobe had had the external casing removed, thereby exposing all the wiring and circuits. I was there with my young son, who loves poking at things, god forbid if he stuck a fork into the wiring and got electrocuted. The worst part was, I called them complained about how incredibly dangerous this was and that it needed to be fixed immediately, yet 6 hours later, they hadn't arrived and only after several follow up calls did they send the maintenance team to replace the casing. I have attached the photos of what I mean. Never once did anyone from the hotel call to explain, apologise, or even acknowledge how serious an issue this was. I am not a person who needs a five star hotel; in fact, I prefer the eclectic over luxury, But save for the pool, this hotel was so awful that it is no better than a cheap holiday trailer park/camp, despite it not being cheap at all. Avoid at all costs.

I was checked in by two friendly receptionists at 1:30 pm. I had booked a one-night stay and inquired about the possibility to check out at 7:30 pm the next day because I had a late flight out. Late check-out was gladly provided for 100 SDG net. I had booked a ”superior” room, the lowest room category, and believe me, there was nothing superior about it. It was a cramped and basic but clean three-star hotel room, nothing more. There was a small table and a chair as well as a bed that was a bit too hard to my liking, but I slept well nevertheless. The barren room came with a fridge, a safe, two 0.5 L water bottles, slippers and wifi that was free, unlimited and reliable. Speeds were okay. There was a universal socket by the bed, no adapter needed. A covid kit with masks, hand sanitizer and alcoholic wipes was provided in the room. The A/C was a bit noisy but efficient. The flimsy curtains did little to keep the room dark. The bathroom was equally cramped and came with a shower cubicle with a handheld shower. Water pressure was fine. Individual tubes of shampoo and bath gel were provided, which I liked as these are far more hygienic than the frankly suspicious-looking wall-mounted containers that were also provided. Breakfast (15++ SGD) was served at the café downstairs. You needed to book a timeslot (7:30, 8:30, 9:30) and then order a hot main course from a menu with four options. In addition, juice, coffee/tea, yoghurt, a small cup of fruit and two small pastries were included and brought to your table. It was basic but got the day started. The servers in the café were friendly and attentive, but some had very thick accents and it was a bit awkward to ask them for the third time what they meant… The café serves lunch and dinner, too, but I didn’t try it. By far the best part about the compact resort hotel is that while it is located just across the street from Siloso beach, you feel like you’re in the rainforest. The pool area is lush, there is so much greenery, and the sound of the cicadas adds to the feeling. The pool is huge, reportedly 90 meters long and rather wide. It’s an absolute gem that, in my books, rivals pool areas of many five-star resorts. You feel like you’re swimming in a rainforest stream, with palm trees and greenery all around you. There’s also a hot tub, which was great. There are no sunbeds by the pool, but you’ll find some on the rooftop terrace. The hotel required you to book a time slot for the pool, but as capacity was restricted to 76 people and the hotel was very quiet midweek, it was no issue. I just called reception whenever I wanted to take a swim. Overall, I was very happy with my 30-hour stay here. Contrary to many reviews I read, all members of staff that I encountered were friendly and smiling. The room was very basic, but after reading the reviews here, that didn’t come as a surprise. Many here complain about the wifi, but at least in room 210 it worked just fine. And the wonderful pool area makes up for so much! The location is good, too. It’s sort of secluded, with a great nature trail starting just at the gate of the hotel. On the other hand, you’re right at the beach and a 10-minute walk away from the monorail station so you can reach the shopping area and Universal Studios easily if you like. Restaurant Trapizza provides Italian lunch and dinner a few minutes away. The airport is just 25 minutes away by taxi. In these post-covid times, I was able to take advantage of an excellent room rate, which of course contributes to my feelings. I paid the promotional price of 120++ SGD (95 EUR net). In normal times, the hotel charges up to double the price, which, frankly, wouldn’t be worth it for the room you get. However, as a quick getaway, it was perfect and if the price is right, I will be sure to split my next stay in Singapore between the city and the Siloso Beach Resort.

My family of 5 (2A3C) stayed on one of the rooms at level 7 for 5D4N staycation. Indeed the reception area and drop off points were unlike others. as it was school holidays, as expected, a large number of guest were checking in. Queue up and it took about 45mins. Due to SMM, this can't be helped. Some of the staff were indeed special need hence give some 'slack'. Reception staff were nice and courteous. interesting walk to the room. Room was nothing much to shout about but it was decent ie Queen size room, proper amenities etc. the lushness of the vegetation and the sound of nature was something my family loved as its not something you find at other hotels around the island. The beach across the resort was another reason that my kids loved. I was pleasantly surprise that they have daily cleaning of the room. Very accommodating too as they acted to your request if you are in the room and leaving for the outdoors or breakfast slight after they want to clean the room. Breakfast was nothing fantastic but it made sweeter by the staff at hand headed by Mr Anthony and Mr Sasi. They were assisted by team of fantastic staff. Special thanks to Jessica, Wan Xian, Jun Hao, Wilson, David, Farid, Hwee Min and Yong Xiang for being champion service ambassadors. They did what other "normal" staff at other establishment would have failed considering the demands from some of the hotel guest. . Its nice to be with nature and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The only setback for me is that my car was parked under the demands of trees that sips sac that spoilt my 6months' old car paintwork. I guess I have to bring a car cover on my next visit. =) Generally my family enjoyed our experience at SBR and will be looking forward to our next staycation there in June.FYI: I have travelled extensively around the globe, my expectation changes accordingly.
