I went on a staycation with my family to the Amara sanctuary, the room was quite big and spacious, but later we started having problems like wifi, tv not working, and when someone flushes the toilet the water turns burning hot! But we just let it go and went to the restaurant for dinner. Later when we were in bed I heard some strange noises like water dripping or sounds like the faucet was on but me and my family were all on bed, then I saw a tiny spotlight like light flash at our bag 3 times every 1-2 mins. When we woke up to have breakfast we all agreed that none of us had a goodnights sleep and also agreed that the hotel may be haunted, and the room is not very well maintained and is overpriced.
I travel 75% of the time for work and stay at several hotels throughout the world and thought to take the family on a nice staycation given everyone has been cooped up for 7-months. Booked the Amara as the photo online looked fabulous. Prior to arrival I sent in some mails to the hotel clarifying a few things on my reservation; no response; called the hotel (several times over several days); no one pick up. Ok never mind. Show up at the hotel check in was fairly easy although no one to to help with the bags-never mind. Got to the room; room setup was ok, nothing special, but kids were happy. Dream Pool (kids pool area) was nice. Sky Pool ok. The other two pools were not open. Breakfast-what a disaster! Staff was all over the place; no coordination; had to ask for every thing;…
We planned our long awaited staycation at Amara and I would say everything was substandard. 1. We booked two rooms with two extra bed and breakfast - they only put in on one room. Luckily I called in three days before to check if everything was ok after the Hilton-hiatus and corrected the booking. Otherwise - they would charge me extra for breakfast on the spot. 2. Hotel rooms quality - so so for the price we paid - blankets not the thick ones. 3. Breakfast is NOT unlimited - only 1 serving - a bit of cheating I feel as usually it would have been a buffet 4. Poor staff service - when you call - nobody picks up ! So frustrating if you are trying to reach them from outside the hotel. 5. Breakfast table is DIRTY despite being Covid period - there are stains from the previous…
Our stay with Amara Sanctuary has been amazing. My family and I loved our stay. The vila stay was very comfortable, nice and private. We specially loved the Historical Trails. Our guides Tommy Liew, Iswady and Suresh were just amazing. They went the extra mile to make our stay such memorable and wonderful time. The nature around away from the buzzling sound of town and we can't imagine we were still in Singapore. The staff were very concerned and went the extra mile. I am gonna share some photos of our stay there. Will definitely come back again and would suggest this to anyone who is going there with their kids and family.
We chose Amara Sanctuary Sentosa as our wedding venue as it ticked all our boxes, the wedding ballroom is huge, with a long aisle, no pillars in within the ballroom, high ceiling, semi colonial style. You get the full view of the stage no matter where u are seated at. The ballroom is away from the hotel rooms, which gives us our own privacy, it is easy for elderlies to drop off as the ballroom is less than 50m away from the drop off point, they have their indoor wedding decorator who did a fantastic job during our wedding day. Everyone was in awe with the deco and the services that the Amara Sanctuary Team has provided. We have booked our wedding around 1+ years in advance, and COVID happened. But, Amara Sanctuary was not pushy and unreasonable in the terms when we were…
