Dash Living at Mackenzie is super convenient & comfortable for every traveller. 💯PRO TIP - If you are commuting to this place from Changi Airport by public transport, I’d recommend you to either take subway to LITTLE INDIA MRT ( it is super close and if you have lots of luggage you would want to opt for that ) or else if you’re opting for bus, then either Little India Stn or Rocher 💯 If you are a solo traveller, go for cozy single or duo. The room may look small in the picture, but it is super comfy as the name self claims. The bed is very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is great and quite spacious. Enough walking space in room along with a study table. Here’s why I recommend Dash Living at Mackenzie 🌟 STRATEGIC LOCATION- close proximity to the MRT, restaurants & supermarkets. - Close to Little India ( hub of Indian restaurants, shops & MUSTAFA CENTER ) + BUGIS ( best place for shopping ) - nearest subways & bus stops include LITTLE INDIA & ROCHER - 7 Eleven is close enough - for cafe - there is Selera Restaurant beneath. It gives coffee at $1.7 and then Old Chang Kee right infront - coffee ranging to $2.4. Additionally, Starbucks at the Tekka Center - If you are an avid non veg lover, you’d love both the aforementioned places. - for vegetarians like myself- the closest PURE VEG restaurant is Ananda Bhawan in Little India then another one that I’d recommend - Ballaji Bhawan near Mustafa. 🌟cozy & clean bedrooms. You’d find every amenity here - comfy mattress, AC, WIFI, HEATER, electric kettle, TV, mini fridge in every room. 🌟 Courteous & Kind staff - I’d like support it by my experience. As a first time traveller, I wasn’t aware of the public transport system. So i ended up choosing wrong bus stop ( you can’t trust internet for everything) & had to drag my luggage to Dash in the extreme rain. Also, I got in 2 hours prior to the check in time. Yet the kind staff not only provided me towel, water but also beyond my expectations, allowed me to get into my room one hour prior to check in time OUT OF COURTESY & KINDNESS. The staff is very friendly & helpful. If you face any issue with anything, they’d sort it within a blink ( a metaphor ). 🌟SOCIAL LOUNGE - As a solo student traveller, social lounge has been my rescue seriously! They have laundry system - $5 for wash + $5 for dry ( awesome dryer must say) with free detergent. They have social kitchen with all the utensils, pots, oven, microwave, fridge and electrical stove. NOTE- please remember to clean your utensils after use as it is a social living environment. Kindly don’t live like an entitled brat. And, Dash Living has the coolest space to chill both at the social lounge at level 5 and the rooftop. 🌟Affordable Price Range- I stayed here for a month and it costed me $1500 monthly rental. It was much cheaper than the other pricey hotels where my friends were staying in. Now realistically moving to the drawback - THE ONE ⚠️ ❌ NOT SOUND PROOF WALLS- it is super annoying how the sound travels across the walls from one room to another. If you can bear with that then it is cool. For me, THE PROS widely exceeded this single con so I didn’t mind much. Note to all the first time comers - The nearest landmark is the old famous Selera Restaurant. And gladly, the Dash Living has their bright & beautiful LED Logo Board so you won’t get lost as we did.…
Despite it now being @Mackenzie it is not located on Mackenzie Road rather the 2nd side street to the left off Mackenzie which confuses Taxi Drivers no end. Location was good for walking access to Little India and walking to the underground at Bugis. or Little India Good restaurants within walking distance. The horrible things were the Shower was mouldy in the cracks between the tiles, The Shower floor towels were dirty see photos. I was there for three nights and the sheets were not changed during my stay. The room cleaning on day 2 was only done at 17.45 after I reported the no cleaning to reception. Not a place to stay despite its cheaper price. Its an old place thinking New Bath Towels on your first night will fool you. The second day the towels reverted to very old limp ones. There were no blackout curtains as there were no windows but I did expect that and was not bothered.…
I have good experience stay in this hotel. Overall of facility and service are good but my mother found rust in kettle, shower head are broken. I also booking 2 room and request that we want 2 room next to each other but instead one room locate on 2nd floor and one room locate on 3rd floor. Ps. Lobby locate on 5th floor and you have to deposit 100 SGD for key card.
On our first night in Singapore, we were surprised that our driver stopped in a seemingly quiet street. There was a sign that said QLoft Hotels, but there was no reception. A lift was the only item that was greeting us. Our driver had to explain to us that that was our hotel. You have to go to the 5th floor to reach the reception. Bathrooms were spacious for Singapore standard, and rooms were always cleaned. Rooms look bigger in person, although the beds are comfy. ALthough they did provide bottled water, there water dispenser was not refilled for three days. My boyfriend's mother had to do some prayers on our first night since she could feel paranormal energy for the hotel.
This is a last minute booking. We stayed here for 4 nights, the place was easy to locate just a few walks from Little India station. Situated in a quiet location. You have to request to clean up your room , enough space for the medium size luggages. But as what the previous guest have mentioned , beddings and towels are not that clean, and looks like they don't replace the comforter as stains are still visible and hairs are on the floor. I had my allergy attacked during our stay because the room is dusty. This is just a place to sleep nothing else. TV channels are limited and locked . Budget inn so don't expect too much. .
I commend one of their staff who is friendly and approachable. Sadly, I forgot to got her name. I think she is an Indian. She was on duty when we had our late check in last March 17 and early check-out last March 20, 2019. The place is very quiet and suited for the traveler family. However, you have to borrow an adaptor or buy outside to charge your cellphone and watch TV. t was not provided during your stay. The wifi was also quite slow. I was not able to open and check my e-mail due to connectivity. ISome other was also not as accommodating like the one who assists us in check-in and check-out. All other else was great!
The first day i arrived, the hotel staff aaid no hairdryer available, then i waited for the second day, finaly I got it, they said i can return whenever i checkout, on the third day morning at 8am, the hotel staff kept calling i didnt pickup, then they came knock on my door asking me to return!! Completely ruined my sleep at 8am! If you need it at that day why not tell me earlier ! So annoying
Perfect for DIY traveller it was near in Little india MRT station. If you like food trip Tekka Center is the answer lots food cuisine to be choose. Near in some tourist spots like Chinatown, clarke quay, accessible going to Marina Bay sands and sentosa.
I want to start the review by saying that those who gave more than 2 stars to this hotel evidently never saw a decent one. We arrive and we are greeted by a very kind boy, the only positive note! The room is very small and already apparently very dirty. The bathroom with the floor and stained glass windows that may have never been cleaned, the faucet that leaks water making the puddle and releasing an unpleasant odor, dust everywhere and flies that merrily walk around the room. We go to the reception and the guy (always the same kind) we change room giving us a larger but still with the same standards of cleanliness, adding to this even the stained towels do not know what. We had booked a Superior 5 nights but after 2 nights we checked out so as not to spoil our holiday and went to another place (paying again !!). At our request for early check out by the girl we were not even asked why. I hope that with this review, help someone not to fall into the same situation as me. From a 3 star I expected a lot more, otherwise at half the price I would have booked a hostel. Scandalous.…
Room was smaller than expected and it was somewhat rundown, much worse than in photos. Almost no water in the basin. Shower worked well, however, but after that the whole bathroom floor was wet. Good bed and excellent wifi. Cleaning was not too good as lots of black hair found on the floor. Early check-in meant just ten minutesm at 2:50 pm. Very good location right beside Little India subway station. Should be cheaper.
