Hotel81 Selegie is good value for money when staying in SG. When you're out all day exploring what you really want is a secure place for your stuff, a good shower, and a good bed to sleep in. This place checks out all of those. We stayed there last October 2022 and chose it again for our June 2023 trip. No breakfast? That's okay - there's a 7-Eleven 20 meters away, 2 hawker centers within 5-10 minutes walk, and two 24-hour prata shops within 400m radius. Different breakfast everyday with every cuisine Singapore has to offer, it's awesome. Transportation - Selegie Ctr bus stop 20 min away with 8 bus routes stopping there. Downtown and North East MRT lines 400m or 5min away. ~SGD 20 Grab from Changi T1. So centrally located that you can walk to malls, museums, Little India, Bugis, and even Fort Canning. Grab or Taxi tip -- the hotel's frontage is on a bus lane so it is best to tell Uncle driver to drop or pick you up from the hotel's back service entrance so they don't get into trouble. They will greatly appreciate it. Cleanliness - granted it's not how I'd clean my house but it was adequate. I saw how housekeeping cleaned the bathroom, made the bed, and swifted the floor. I'd say it was good. We didn't understand each other - she spoke only Mandarin - but the cleaning lady assigned to our floor was pleasant, making sure we have water, coffee, tea, and fresh towels everyday. Room size - Shout out to Ms. Normala for making us feel welcome and ensuring we got a good room. Seeing my big luggage, she asked if we'd like a newer room but small or an older room but bigger. The last time we stayed here we were in a small but new-ish room so this time we chose the older but bigger one. It was a good choice as you'll see in the photos. Amenities - None! You're in Singapore! Go out and explore!

Room size quite decent for sleeping. Clean wise is very good for a budget hotel. Near train very convenient to move. Staffs very friendly and helpful esp the counter lady name normala. Always ready to answer my questions and attend to my needs. Would be picking this hotel again if I were to visit Singapore.

If you are looking for a budget hotel, then this place is for you but don't expect too much since it is a budget hotel. It's just right for the price. On their ad, there is a window. Yes there is but the window is permanently locked and you can't even see what's outside. Air-conditioning is good. The smell of the room is not that good but not that bad also. There are some small insects inside the room and in the bathroom. Staffs are friendly and every day we get a complementary coffee that is good and new towels as well. I can recommend this hotel if you are looking for a low budget hotel and if you are not as picky.

We were surprised how big and cozy their twin bedrooms since it is very cheap and close to the tourist attractions. We had a shuttle from airport going to the hotel. Very accommodating staff and always answering our questions regarding with the places around.

We were at the Ibis first known as Fragrance for 8 days, 7 nights. We were the only couple that stayed so long since most people only visit Singapore one or two nights. The hotel was in full transition but we had no problems with that. Everybody was so friendly. Ibrahim and Jelica from front desk did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They even gave us a room upgrade to a room with a window because we stayed so long. The rooms are small but that's normal because it's a hotel where most people don't stay long. And in a city like Singapore you don't stay in your room anyway! Housekeeping was nice and polite and our rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast was really good! The hotel is 5min walk from little India and not even 3min walk from the metro. And in the morning before you start your sightseeing or at night when you come back you can take a swim in the pool on the roof. It's really nice and opens from 7am till 10pm. If we go back to Singapore we will sure check to go back there! A plus to all the staff!

We were family of 3 (Couple & 7 Year old Child) and we never expected the rooms to be this small. You practically do not have room for luggage as well as standing. Washroom was still ok but rooms are very very very small. You have to see it to believe it :). Overall the staff was cooperative and kind to us as they suggested us to take single bed rather than twin bed. Location of the hotel was good, very close to Little India MRT and walking distance to lot of Indian restaurants near Little India Arcade. At the price we booked we could have expected a little more however we were ready. There are few options around the hotel however great location to visit all major attractions.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 days, cheap and nasty with unfriendly rude staff, no visitors in the everning allowed, we accidentally left some belongings in the room after we left, next day we called them and they never bothered to check the room or help us in any way. Our valuables lost cost us hundreds of dollars to replace. Reflects badly on the country, lesson ive learnt, never trust Singapore Hotels. Why a hotel needs to resort theft and dishonesty is beyond my comprehension. I will never use Hotel 81 again. You have been warned.

The room was under average and we were disappointed. Advantage: hotel is near to MRT station and bus stop which is quite convenient, free water every day, free wifi Disadvantage: The room is bad, although the family room size is big enough to open up all our luggage, tidiness of the room is bad, the toilet is smelly and full of mosquito and insects; bed and chairs are full of dust. There is no window in the room and the wall is very thin while you can hear people talking, walking and the sound of staff cleaning room clearly. We even couldn't sleep well. The room is quite hot but you cannot change the temperature by yourself, you need to change it by calling the staff, which is very inconvenient. The staffs seems like do not want to handle our problem when we asked them to change the temperature.
