I loved my time at footprints hostel. Friendly and super helpful staff with a great location. It's about a 5 minute walk for the markets in little India, a cheap super market and the train station. Bathrooms are clean and simple. Nothing to fancy. The beds are firm, which I like but may not take everyone's fancy. The pillows are...

Location is good as it's really near to the MRT station. When I was there though, there were too many families and I couldn't really meet backpackers. Overall it's a decent hostel with friendly staff. If you're looking for cheap accommodation and don't mind other things, this place would be a good option.

Location wise this hostel is well situated, air conditioning is available at night, the bathrooms and showers were kept very clean. It could do with new bedding, especially mattress protectors, but we had no bug problems, a good all round backpacker hostel. Breakfast is basic toast, jams and cereal but you could have as much as you wanted, the computers...

The location is very good because near MRT station (Bugis station), Mustafa Centre, Haji Lane, and Bugis Market. The hostel is a great option in Singapore, especially if you like Indian food. The facilities were all nice. Open use computers and fast wifi are great. They have you make your bed and collect the bedding yourself, which is fine, though...

I will recommend the family room (6 beds) for group budget travelers. Toilet is en-suite and location is near food halls. Convenient going to MRT Bugis, by Bus or by walk. Breakfast serves coffee, cereals bread and choices of marmalade.

Yes it is home for backpackers that come from around the world to witness this beautiful land.. Not very far from the Little India metro station..this hostel provides very clean beds with small lockers, clean washrooms and a decent basic breakfast spread.. I have stayed here multiple times and was never disappointed..the staff is very friendly and helpful.. Try the...

Was very difficult for us to find at first, and after being on a Bus from Surat Thani, Thailand, for the best part of 2 days, this was quite annoying for us! But the hostel itself is relatively good. The security is good, you need a passcode to get up the stairs and then the doors lock themselves every time...

The Place is nice and Clean... We got a family room with six beds... The toilet and showers are clean with hot water. It is a 5-10 mins. Walk to the Bugis MRT, which was a good exercise for me and my friends. The Breakfast starts at 7am with cereals and bread... simple and nice. We had a great time...

For a hostel, it's okay. Not to great, but quite clean. And the neighborhood it's quite good and not to crowded. I would definitely come here again if I needed to go to Singapore again for backpacking vacation.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

Welcome to Footprints Backpacker Hostel - a HOME away from home! Looking for comfortable, clean and affordable accommodation in a friendly, cozy and relaxed environment? You have come to the right place. Footprints Backpacker Hostel is conveniently located right smack in the middle of the culturally rich Little India, the centre for Singapore's Indian community. This ethnic quarter is packed with interesting treasures awaiting to be discovered. Retaining much of its authentic charm and distinct identity, this district is not what you would expect of the generally rather ‘sanitized’ Singapore. It is one of the most colourful and exotic places to visit on the island. The streets are dotted with small shops and eateries and if you are a bargain-hunter, cheap-gets are aplenty. ... more   less
