It was the cheapest option after a 2 year backpacking around Australia in 2009.

Cheap Charges - Quality service. Cleanliness is very high and it's a budget hotel. Staff is also very kind and you can have free wi-fi facility. But it's little far from town area. Anyway I'm highly recommended this place.
This hostel is quite good for being one of the cheapest places of Singapore. The dorms, common area and toilet/showers are moderately clean. There is a nice massage chair in the common area.
A/C in dorms only during the night. No A/C in common areas....More
It's not really a hostel, more of a big house that the owner lives in too. The people staying are much older and not the backpacker kind at all. Beware of extra charges when you arrive on top of the charges mentioned on Hostel World....More

the hotel is located on Moonstone Line, near from serangoon road. you can reach by walking 5 minutes from upper serangoon station. you can walk to Little India only 15 minutes.
