TERRIBLE PLACE TO STAY. Booked the King Suite from 11 to 12 March 2023. Paid $200+ for 1 night stay through Agoda. Checked in around 4pm+ ...The hotel lobby had only 2 staff. One of them kept asking me how much did I pay for my room. I told her she could check in her own system, as I had trouble logging in to my Agoda app again. She insisted she wanted to know how much I paid. I told her it is fully paid already through Agoda, yet she still kept insisting for me to check and said "Because I want to know." This was extremely rude. When I went up, the room was extremely dirty. Pillowcase were dirty with many brown stains. Floor towel had brown stains. Found a used peeled off tape not cleared and lying on top of the kettle. Toilet had mould stains and leaky from the tub. Aircon had dark brown rust and mould too. Called for the staff to come up, to take a look. The same 2 staff came up and gave excuses for every single issue. The rude staff very quickly grabbed the dirty tape from my hand to throw away and said "maybe wind blow that's why". I asked her if the room was cleaned up, what wind blow? She instructed the other lady to get new pillow case and changed it immediately, before I could take pictures, and blamed their laundry vendor for washing the pillowcase poorly. When I told them I wanted to leave immediately and sought a refund, they told me to go ahead. When I wanted to speak with a manager, they refused to link me to the manager and said they did not know how to contact the manager, and there was no manager, only they 2 working. I asked for the management contact number and they refused to give. When I asked for their names, they refused to provide. Seriously, STB and CASE needs to look into this place. Considering how numerous the negative comments on this place in Trip Advisor / Agoda. Places like this give Singapore a bad name.

To the management, I got this room twice and it is so dissapointing! The receptionist mentioned it is because it is fully booked. If the room is not in a good condition please OOS the room. Paying $244.70 with leaking air-condition, no water-heater (not hot even), fridge not even cold and lights flickering, what is worst?! bathtub no stopper. Your receptionist can still tell me put towel to fill the tub?! Room is just beside cleaner storeroom and it is very noisy as they kept on open and closing the door!! In the morning!

I stayed at the Hi Hotel for 1 night on the the 16th of Nov 22. I wish I had read the "Trip Advisor" reviews before and had not trusted the photos and description of Booking.com. Those pictures are not accurate anymore. I don't know if they ever were. I am still fighting with the hotel and Booking.com. for a refund. I am also reporting this to Singapore Tourism. Save yourself the trouble and Do Not Consider staying there. Singapore was very heavily booked on the 13th of Nov, when I saw there was 1 room available at the Hi Hotel, I felt initially very lucky until I got there! This is not a hotel, it is a dump which should not be allowed to trade. It is a Health hazard and it is not safe. The door lock in my room was broken, there is no shower door, the bathroom gets completely flooded, if you want to dry your hair off after your shower, you can't do this in the bathroom as you would electrocute yourself. There is no Hand soap in the bathroom, I was told to use Shower gel for washing my hands, The towels are of poorest quality and torn, Toilet dirty, Power sockets are hanging loosely off the walls, there is no phone in the room, no Milk nor Tea provided, no Ironing facilities, the place is dirty throughout - Disgusting! Apparently they used to have a restaurant, it does no longer exist. There is no Manager on site, the staff is not qualified and hardly speaks English. When I complained to the receptionist Mr Yip I was told "it is an old hotel!".It is not acceptable that this place even accommodates guests. Let alone classifies as 4 Star Hotel and SG Clean! This is false advertising and misleading. I have worked in the Tourism Industry for close to 30 years and have stayed in many places, none as bad as this. I believe the photos I took last week speak for themselves. I desperately tried to find another room on the day and also asked for support through Booking.com unfortunately it was not possible and I had to stay in this shocking place. The Hotel owner took full advantage of the situation. What a disgrace for Singapore Tourism!

My partner and I just spent 4 nights here at the Hi Hotel. 1ST impressions were not good. From the outside walking into the reception you could see it was in need of some attention. The lady who was at reception had poor English and was more interested in her phone than attending to us. We went up to our room- and we thought what the hell........ Upon inspection we found a dirty kettle- a fridge that was not working- the floor off the shower was in poor condition- the toilet might off been cleaned once this year.. I went back down to reception and found a man now behind the counter- he was much friendlier and happy to listen. Within 20 minutes he knocked on our door with a new clean kettle, he checked the fridge and agreed it wasn't cold- he left and came back with another fridge. When he moved the nonworking fridge we saw a huge pile of dust- the fridge hadn't been moved for a very long time, There was a choice of stairs or a lift to use- it was obvious from walking the staircase that they hadn't been hoovered for a long time. The Hi Hotel is in a great location but the hotel needs to be deep cleaned and have a paint job-- It is so dark. The location was good for local restaurants and access to the MRT and buses.

Fabulous location in Kampong Glam but old rooms, lacking in basic amenities and poor service. The hotel is walking distance from Lavender train station and the Bugis Nightlife area of Kampong Glam where there is great food, pubs and boutiques - overall great location. Rooms look old with paint peeling off walls - there was no bed, just 2 single mattress on the floor (with queen linen). They kept moving around in the night so overall very uncomfortable. Toilet was stained, not very clean and tub was very shaky. The shower head / bath faucet wasn't working so overall poorly maintained. Linen was old with threads hanging off (come on just cut them off!) - far from the usual crisp linen you expect. Service was poor - showed up 20 min early to check in but was refused. Not even registration so the key could be collected later. Overall poor experience - will not return

I checked in at 11pm and was given a movie studio room room number 105 . The carpet was bad , the door was broken , the sink was leaking and had a towel placed below it. The bathtub is absolutely difficult to climb into. There was also a leak in the wall which had a towel readily placed too. I was given a room change to 205 , good lord even worst mould. I could not sleep as the aircon was so mouldy , looking dangerous ready to fall off the wall. The sink didn't drain too. Could not believe it was an upgrade. My children were baffled in the condition of the rooms. I paid $1900 for 12 nights for this only to be told I won't be refunded. I checked out the next morning absolutely disappointed.

If there was a 0 we will give it a ZERO RATE. Was browsing through for hotels for a get away to have a we time from work. Found the picture it we tot we could give it a try for a rate 600$ for 2 nights at "honeymoon" suite butt... JUST FYI DONT TRUST THE PICTURE YOU SEEN IN BOOKING WEBSITE. Upon arriving the reception was ok since it was just a boutique hotel so never gave a high expectation. The lift nothing to complaint as its in a shop houses. Upon entering the room of so call honeymoon suite. There was a bad smell, the room is really worn out. Small cushion still have cum stain. Ceiling all is worn out, worst still THE CEILING LIGHTWAS COVERED WITH SURGICAL MASK!. TOILET WORST, THE TOILET BOWL IS VERY DIRTY AND THERE IS STILL BROWN COLOUR WATER AT THE BACK SEAT! TV DONT EXPECT ANYTHING 1 CHANNEL ONLY...CHANNEL 5 NO OTHER CHANNEL We still considering tot of giving a chance of just staying for a night and look for other hotel, but when we realize its really depressing to stay in. Sorry to say it looks like just for a few hrs stay. VERY DISSAPOINTED BY THE IMAGE AND WHAT WE GOTTEN. Neighbour hotel like Hotel nuve and Hotel clover is much more worth it and cleaner than here. The staff did call us and mention there wasnt any complaint given by the room its a lie! last bad review was Sep 2021. You guys change branding and its still same! Sorry we dont want to affect your business but if this keep up and cheat people money its best you close down your hotel. BEFORE YOU GUY BOOK ITS BETTER TO VIEW OUR AND OTHER BAD REVIEW PICTURE BEFORE PROCEEDING. HONEYMOON SUITE SHLD CHANGE THE NAME TO DISASTER SUITE

I decided to stay at XY because of the high rating and cool looking different themed rooms. Got the Junior Suite at a relatively good deal last minute same day. XY whatsapp-ed me (1434hrs) to inform me that the checked-in time was 1500hrs onwards and I acknowledged. My friend assisted with the check-in at 1830hrs and was told that we were upgraded 2 tiers above the junior suite (PROJECTOR ROOM) as the JUNIOR SUITE WAS LEAKING. As an avid traveller/staycay enthusiast initially we felt delighted by the service HOWEVER, we were shocked that the room 2 tier above the initial room (claimed by the BOSS MRS HAN) was in a terribly BAD state. Here is why (In-room TV was not working, bare BASIC decos worst than deluxe/other suite room, DIRTY as if the room was left untouched for weeks, the projector and laptop were placed in an awkward position near the entrance door with NO SOUND output. We requested to change to another room but FO said the hotel was in full occupancy ... and the only solution they could offer would be to REFUND the room. I checked again Agoda and XY official website, they do have the deluxe room avail and we are cool if you could offer that too ... BUT NO. It didn't happen. Why I am writing this long review and giving XY HOTEL a bad rating due to the fact that they could tell us the JUNIOR SUITE was leaking and told us the intended room they offering prior to arrival so that we could decide to proceed or not. Customer service by the front office agents (probably interns) and hotel boss (MRS HAN) need further improvement and understand your guest concern. To the Hotel Boss, please allow your guest to finish speaking with you and reply to them back afterwards. Do not cut the conversation and act as if you were showing that care and assurance that our stay would be great . And, as paying hotel guests, we have the rights to choose to book a stay through AGODA or through DIRECT. Dear Readers, if you have the plan to book your next stay with XY, please check the room photos taken by fellow guests and do not be deceived by the edited/ published pictures. Just our luck that such bad treatment was received. CHAO XY!

I was looking forward to give it a try for a very long time. Since I always go for a good looking places with a good reviews so I decided to try it out. I wanted to go for a cloud suit or etc since I like big bathtubs and glass walls. I finally got a chance while ago. The location is perfect near the haji lane and etc. I would't say that it was an easy to fine but so far so good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Its a very small boutique hotel and you can see them dinning on the first floor all the time so it feels hommy and looks the same. The first thing I usually paying attentions is amenities and cleanliness. Thats why my review is going to be very very LOW. I can see my feet trail on the floor , duo to the snow you might thinks - NO NO< its a mountain of dust all around the room. And this is only the room :cloud suit as they have! Cos all the pricy rooms are suits - so you need to pay extra. The bathtub is big and etc. But the hot water is a different story . If you wanna make a full hot tub than it will take forever since hot water stops every 10 min. I do understand a heater and etc - but yeah, cant even enjoy that. TV is working but no cable or etc - and the fun part of the TV, its located the way that you cant even see it from the bed. if you like to watch properly and etc - forget about that. The pool has a glass window so you can see people are eating downstairs. Its kinda cool with some floating swans . But I just wonder when the last time someone was checking the pool area - the tables are so dirty, sticky, spilt wine and etc. Especially when you can see the family or staff just downstairs through the glass window - i was pretty closed to ask someone to stop eating and come over to clean but i dont like to make noise and etc. Food. Well, the staff was saying that its nice and tasty but unfortunately, after seeing all the dirty and dusty amenities I do have a doubt about the kitchen as well. The lift is cute and fun to use, you have to press and hold the button if you want the lift to keep running. As you can see some of the flours and bubbles on my pictures - nope, its not a package, i just prepared some a small surprise for my gf but you can see some cleanliness issues on my photos. So I did enjoy my stay for awhile but Im allergic to dust so I was sneezing and etc during the night. I would recommend this place for staycation if they could fix the clean the place up. Cos the place is quite strategically promising.....
