Wonderful historical hotel with a unique vibe. The room was a beautiful loft and spacious, with a well stocked minibar. The main bar was also an experience. The hotel staff were helpful recovering a garment that we left behind.
The autograph collection never fails to impress. The concept of having your own minibar makes you feel like a million dollars. The concept of the hotel and the design was top notch, the elevator has a little surprise to it ;) On the downside a hotel of this price should have a bathtub and the water wasn’t so hot. Staff was very friendly and professional! Will stay again!
During our two week stay in Singapore as a couple, we experienced excellent service, friendliness, and unique accommodation. The Duxton is situated in a lively neighborhood with unique shops. We had a slight issues, but staff and front manager Dhalia resolved the matter. Highly recommended and will return.
Recently stayed six nights at the Duxton, before heading onto the Maldives. Great location, close to Chinatown and the Maxwell food stalls. Staff were lovely and the hotel is beautiful. We stayed in a duplex suite which I think was , unfortunately, more form over function. Large area downstairs with a very uncomfortable long couch that looked great but could not really be used to relax on. Bedroom upstairs was very cramped and dark as was the bathroom. My husband and I aren’t big people but both found the toilet area very cramped . Definitely needed the wall to be moved over at least 6 inches . Our friends had a lower category room and their room and bathroom was more spacious . As mentioned in previous reviews, more power points needed. Breakfast was really good , could do with a good barista though.Despite all of this, we would definitely stay again, just not in the suite :)…
Ordered a room for my wife to stay and celebrate our wedding anniversary on 25th Feb 2022 night. When we entered the room, the room was freezing cold. We tried to adjust the aircon to 32 degree Celsius and even turned it off. But it didn't worked. So we called up the reception and requested them to turn the aircon off on their side and the reception lady wasn't very happy to deal with our enquiries and told us that we can adjust on our own room which we did and she even demanded us to wait for 2 hours, finally the lady was rude to hang up our calls. In the end my wife and I ended up staying in the freezing room uncomfortable on our wedding anniversary. This is our first time and we had a very bad experience, will never book this hotel group Marriott again in any part of the world. The only thing i given a two star instead of one star is because of the concept and decoration is good.…
